Ed, I've been pulled towards my other love...RX-7.....and one or both of mine's gotta go :) lol to satisfy this need. This recent teal one is getting a nice clean 7m and my DD has a 1.jz. Decisions decisions... I'll let you know when Im ready. :)
lol..stuff's still running in my head....
Engine was dropped off yesterday ... its pretty cleaned up..I just have to pressure wash leftovers off and then spray the block and what not.
Thanks Krish and Adriane and Mike... lol
Decided to go with a MHG instead. Should be here today so I can...
QUOTE=BorHor;1085535]M3 = new and more expensive money pit
lol..I'm seriously thinking about selling my supies and picking up an M3 as well....E36..or EVO ..or STI :biglaugh:
Lame yo!.... lol...
Nice work there Eric..I wish I had the time :( and make it out to Vegas with you guys...
But I do see a slight window of opprtunity but we'll see. Did you get the fusebox?
also, not all oil sendors are compatible. Like if the 1jz is put in a previously 7m powered car, you have to swap out the oil sender from the 7m engine to the 1jz. This may also be the case for you since you have a Digi dash and the 1JZ engine may not have come from a digi dash equipped car.
Im sure it is a Yellow / Black stripe coming off the oil sender. Almost all Toyotas I've seen use this color combo for the oil pressure signal.
If you trace the harness/plug that comes off the Instrument cluster, that corresponding wire should be there and you should connect it to that.
