yep i remember hearing about the 2000gt's and shelby i was also surprised. i remember hearing an interview with shelby talking about the toyota 2000gt.
no primer no sanding.
the paint has adhesion promoter mixed into it.
this is the second interior ive done the last one is a few months old and still looks just as good
thanks guys,
im kinda leaning twords a gloss or metalic black...
for one i donr have to pull the motor and paint the bay..(its already black..)
and for two i have always loved and wanted a black on black car....
but i also love the dark metalic grey....
it would be the same color as my truck,
so im set to paint my supra right after new years and i cant decide on a color...
its currently flat black (temp paint job..)
let me know what you think!
it will probubley take between 10-15 cans to do the whole interior
i used diluted acetone 1/2 water 1/2 acetone wiped down thoroughly with blue shop towels
and the seats look oem.
yes very flexible, once its dry it dosent come off on anything. it is a little stiff at first but once its a little used it returns to normal. and yes the seats turned out freakin awesome!
and yes i will be painting everything else.
ok im done for now (but not finished)
what i got done-
dash
center console
a pillers
ebrake boot
front and rear carpet
front and rear seats
kick pannels
door sills.
steering wheel
pics-
the pictures dont even do it justice it looks soooo good! the 20 year old carpet looks like...
so i decided earlier today to start painting my interior this weekend(i was tired of looking at my black car with a blue interior)
anyway here are some pics of the progress so far tonight.
^^ thats going to be fun to put back together... lol
lol so she keeps talking about the supra.. she wants one now... (=
she went from despising it to now wanting it lol.
and sorry no pics of the unspoken fill in the blank stuff lol
