Absolutely, some friends of my just finished restoring an El Camino in their garage and set up a booth similar to the way you have yours which is why I was asking. I figured the next time I paint a car I'll do the same.
My brother ran into the exact same issue. We did at lot of digging into other parts not considering the pump because it was new. Nearly 3 weeks and $400 bucks in un-needed parts it turned out that our first guess was right and it was the fuel pump. We changed it and the car has ran fine ever since.
Ive been in a situation similar to this. I however have separation issues so the moment I consider selling the car is very short lived. I would just rationalize out what the fringed benifit of selling the car would be. Honestly, if you don't have to sell the car it wouldn't be very long before...
I actually just order my turbo from SP this week. They said it should ship out by the end of the week. I'm interested to see how yours performs. It gives me something to look forward to.
