:UPDATE: so while I have been waiting on my harness I decided to Tint my cluster. Started off with going out and buying some 3M 35% tint, then taking my cluster cover off Before: Cutting the general shape out, laid it under to see the fit After! Final outcome assessment.. Its "ok"...

yeah I have a few buddies who mounted them above and didn't have problems.. Only concern is it not getting cooled down. On my 87 i have it mounted to the subframe below. so We will see lol.

also Chasebays.com does Brand new harness for the 1jz/2jz for any chassis. for 700 or 850 without a core. and has many options.

NOW this is a high quality build.. I hope the rest of the car gets the same treatment as your rear end. :)
