havent bought anything yet... still debating. grim your the reason i wanna go HKS over the cometic... i care more about real life experiecne than what other cars use a head gasket..
each car and gasket are different. a honda head gasket is nothing like a supra gasket... im debating in my head...
haha... yeah, you have NO idea how much money i have into this build right now, not as much as others, but a lot more than most.
go check out my build thread, i need to go update it anyways...
and who the fuck are you again? what makes somebody a "professional"...? to me, IJ and some of the others on here i consider more than "professional" which is why i COME HERE.
I started my build NOT knowing which head gasket i wanted because:
A) I didnt know how much was going to be shaved...
my parents are paying for me to go to college right now, and i thank them so much for that opportunity to better myself. especially when i start ARC up in sacramento for a welding degree!!!!! (custom EVERYTHING HAHAHAH)
for me to run a cometic gasket it would need to be a 2mm+ AND 86mm bore...
thank you!
IJ your like my go to guy!!!!
(i was just going to PM you but i thought everybody should know)
edit: Do you know the torque spec for the eagle rod bolts? eagle is already closed today... =[
should i put it on BOTH sides of the bearing? Like on the main surface of the block, and then on the main cap surface? or does it only need to be on the bearing surface for start up? i just thought about it today.
Let me know.
my bore is 85mm as im .40'' over
.40'' = 1mm
and i know how to get the CC volume, but just wasnt sure where you got your number, but i'll go look at my head tomorrow.
pi x 42.5 x 42.5 x 91 / 1000 = 516.38
then times that by 6 = 3098.28cc = 3.1L of pure engine! haha
