348 HP ain't much, but then again it's more than a lot of cars have. Once you have it all set up you can make yourself a pretty penny. Charge half what the local dyno shops charge. You can handle the cars below 348 HP, they can handle anything above that. Tell John Reed about your dyno once...
I'm not sure on that Jay, but I'll double check later. From the guide I used the exhaust clearances are .010-.014 I have professional help (Aphxero) coming up next weekend to fix my baby.

Well I just tore apart the motor minus pulling the crank pulley since I don't have an impact. Here's what I saw when I pulled the valve covers off with the cam gears at TDC. When I pulled the caps off the 3 holes on each cam were straight up.
Oh. All I know is that the clearances for the bucket shims were within specs. I'm still learning, bear with me. Sounds like I need to enlist the help of a more knowledgable mechanic. I'm going to pull the valve covers back off along with the cam gears and double check the cams. I think they...
I forgot my cell phone takes videos. Here you go Jay. And yes, my shirt is on :D The only time I touched the throttle is to get the RPM's to come down.

Here's a much better vid with commentary. I give it just a couple quick blips of the thottle...
I had to gap the spark plugs to .026 to get the motor to start because at .028 it wouldn't. When I start it up the engine runs really rough and low (500 RPM's), then after a minute it will rev up to 3500-4000 RPM's. The throttle is for the most part unresponsive and when the motor hits the 3500...
I just installed my 2J cams and JDM 440 injectors. I had to gap the spark plugs to .026 to get the motor to start because at .028 it wouldn't. When I start it up the engine runs really rough and low (500 RPM's), then after a minute it will rev up to 3500-4000 RPM's. The throttle is for the...
Well the spark plugs didn't get the motor to fire. I have either gas or brake cleaner in 3 of the cylinders, so I'm going to take my fiance's hair dryer to the 3 cylinders and see if I can't dry them out. We'll see if that works. If not I'm going to need to get a 1JZ ECU to borrow to see if...
The Supra is put back together but won't start. It fires a little but won't fully fire. I'm going to get a new set of plugs to see if that will fix the issue. I'm pretty sure it's because of all the brake cleaner we sprayed in the cylinders and the fact that I increased my injector size by...
I made some progress today but not much. I put a bunch of stuff on and then had to take it back off. Now I am trying to figure out how to get the cam gear rear shield on. Oh well, that will happen tomorrow. Big thanks to Randy at BIC for the helpful call.

I went up to Canada today and got the needed tools from Kyle (Frankenstein). The top of the motor is all put back together and looking nice. Tomorrow I'm going to finish it up.
Remove your drivers seat and put the passenger seat in it's place. That will shave 80 pounds. Remove your spare tire tool bag that has the jack in it. Remove your glove compartment too since every pound counts. Also, over inflate your front tires by 5 pounds. If you can soften the rear...
