Yeah I just got into Supras, about last year and got one December 06, and then another March 07, due to a wreck...

I would go diesel, it took a full tank for my dad's 5.3 Vortec for like 300 miles with my Supra on a car hauler, a diesel will be much better for long tow trips and a bigger tank.

Its from an 88 turbo, doesn't look like the motors ever been swapped or anything, I'll try to speed the guy up on the process.

Been slow till about last week. Honestly nothing but about 2 hours of engine bay cleaning was done up till last week, when I decided to not play Spring football due to, too many car projects/sell. So I've been helping at the body shop trying to speed up the process, and I'll get pics of it...

I agree with all in the jeeps having amazing tourque, must have a long stroke.

Any 6 cylinder should be fine for towing, hell maybe even a samari/tracker with lower gearing could tow and be good on the trails, + it's great on gas.

No more than $1000, and some pics could help.

What is the max you will be doing offroad? What will you be towing? And if you just want a solid 4x4 there are more than just Jeeps; broncos, blazers, 1500's, F150's...etc.

Go with an upgraded ct 57trim and you'll be satisphied.

Use good quality gear oil, the more viscous the better.

^ oh yeah right right, it'll probably take like a year or more like another Supra owner I know ;) if I can get parts I may be done by a "certain" date.

Now that I have time for it, and bpdy work is done soon, I think the motor and such should only take a week at most...
