I did the fix first, lasted another couple months, then went again.
So, I picked up a new one, it's been running perfectly for years now.
Toyota dealers in Canada will bend you over for the price of parts. :( I order all my stuff from Mark at Vancouver Toyota in Washington state now...
Ideal conditions are cold, dense air. So below freezing but still sea level, with a clear day caused by high barometric pressure.
Any time you start to stray from that ideal, you'll get less power.

50% hit rate... that's not a bad interest to confirmed conversion rate in the Supra world. :(
Hell, I signed up for a set and didn't even vote in the original interest thread.
In all my time with Supras, I've only ever seen ONE stock bypass valve that was still functioning. Take off the old one and try to blow through it - chances are you can, and that means it's toast.

I send this to everyone who is having a new baby... It's a lot of fun seeing what names are popular, now and in the past.
If you are going to remove the engine, why worry now? Just pull the oilpan, the main caps, and check the bearings. If one is roasted, it'll be rather obvious.
Now if these guys made one with molded tool trays on it, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. If they had magnetic bottoms for nuts and bolts, I think I'd smile for a week.
No worries DB, the only reason I got it right off is because I once neglected to connect it before dropping the engine back in. Took a LOT of effort with a greased up arm and I still lost a significant amount of skin to remedy that problem. Almost would have been easier to lift the engine back...
That one is a BITCH to get back on. Here's a pic of the hardline it connects to as it wraps around the back of the engine. It's painted black in this picture, and it's right under the EGR cooler plate.
People who like Supras generally share some or all of the following traits:
- We like import cars in general, Toyota specifically, and the Supra, of course.
- We like sports cars.
- We like our luxury features... like the auto climate control that's been in every Supra since 1982, while the 2001...
If it's not showing in the BIOS at startup, nothing software based is going to work. Check for limitations on your board from the manufacturer. If there is no BIOS setting for it, you may simply be out of luck.
