well...knowing that your starting off w/ 15-30k miles on the motor...i'd feel safter. But there is nothing wrong w/ a rebuild. It CAN be cheaper if you know how to spend money right.

^^ after it smokes real bad for a couple seconds, then it never smokes again until i come up to a stop after driving for a while. ^^

exactly how would I "test" it. when it does smoke, it's only for about 2 seconds, and that 2 seconds is A LOT of smoke. and it smells like straight GAS.

Acouple months ago, I had to replace my 02 sensor...and because of a very tight budget, I was forced to buy a "universal" 02. :( It worked fine...readings were always good..no smoking(not even cold starts). Well, now it's smoking nice big puffy ones in between go's. Just wondering if there is a...

well...not exactly "free" but..take it to a local muffler shop, they'll take ur cat off for ya for $20 or so. it'll be louder too!:)

haha, yeah, I didn't get that either. Hey, i know this is off subject of thread, but Osaka JDM Motors....they are selling inspected, low mileage, tested and all 7MGTE's for 700. Doesn't that seem awfully cheap? Hmm...I just might consider that fixing my RK..that way I know i'd be starting off...

yeah...you're right, we do need to go ahead and make a scheduled date..that way we can try to spread the word around to others, or for the ones that are putting their poopra's back together, they'll have a due date! :)

Lets narrow it down to a MONTH..and THEN a weekend. Saturday and Sunday for sure. I think May sounds good.
