Engine hoist wont go up all the way?

The seals on the cheap jacks / hoists aren't designed to keep pressure in forever. If you leave them up with weight on them, hydraulic fluid will leak past the seal slowly. Thus the rule about NEVER getting under a car on a jack, always use jackstands. Just put some more fluid in the thing...

    2jzgte and Getrag 6 speed into MA70

SupraClaou, there is only one hole in your explanation. The rear differential may not contain the speed sensor, however, the gearing inside of it absolutely changes how fast the output shaft on the transmission is spinning, and therefore, changes the value on the speedometer. If you want your...

    Heat proof stickers

Usually you can just use vinyl... the only areas that get hot enough to hurt it are on the passenger side rear of the bay, near the exhaust / turbo. Sticker shops can print on vinyl as well, to give you full color stickers instead of the single color that you usually get. Not terribly cheap...

    FX35 BIxenons

I've got a set of ballasts from here: http://www.mobilehid.com/ They have demos where they smash them with a hammer, and put them under water, showing that they still work and can take the abuse. This is my last attempt at cheap import ballasts - if these ones fail, I'll buy a set of Hella or...

    FX35 BIxenons

That looks like a modified housing... everyone I've seen do this takes a cheap Ebay housing and hacks up the rear to mount the projector housing. Yes, one bulb does the same job for both high and low beam. An actuator moves the bulb forward or backward so that it's either covered partially by...

A/C fan! why does it turn on if my a/c is off?

If you think that's dirty of them, check out this picture of the factory digital gauge. You can't see this when the gauge package is all together, because it's behind tinted Plexiglas... but as soon as you take it apart, it's obvious that there isn't any indicators or wiring for them in a...

Help to tune at idle to avoid a lean condition using MafPro

No adjustable fuel pressure regulator to go with that walbro fuel pump? Doing the HAC mod on your ECU is not an easy bit of work. You'll need a very steady hand with a soldering iron, and even then it is extremely touchy. The guys who make the MAFT Pro will do it if you send it to them, and...

A/C fan! why does it turn on if my a/c is off?

Dude, stop getting all defensive. Nobody wants a behavioral debate in the tech section. Instead, how about filling in all the missing information I mentioned? Or get an aftermarket temperature gauge, install it, and post what kind of temps you are actually getting?

A/C fan! why does it turn on if my a/c is off?

Do you know why you're getting unhelpful posts? I'll give you a hint. No offense meant, however, it's because you act like a cocksure punk who thinks he knows it all. Your first post contains assumptions that you expect us to take at face value, and, more importantly, doesn't include all the...

    filling in moulding

Trust me when I say that there are a lot of things he would like to do to the car. However, the reality of it is that he's the owner and labor behind a successful shop that specializes in Supra work. When he has time to work on his own car, it means he isn't making a living. Luckily for him...

    Ive just about had enough.

Sure... but you have to remove the subframe to get the oilpan out, and that's about the same amount of effort as pulling the engine from the top.

Tow hook - trailer hitch reciever mounted?

lol - I just want something that isn't uglier than a two bit whore who took the runner up prize in an axefight to stick in the hitch receiver when I'm not carting around the mountain bike. I put it in this section because it seems the hooks are a requirement for some SCCA racing, so I was...

You'll never believe how often this is the case for me. I'm certain that I'm plagued by gremlins!

    filling in moulding

Fair warning... this is a *LOT* of work. Randy, the owner of the car posted, is a professional bodyman. Metal for each piece was cut to fit, welded into place, then smoothed to a better than factory finish. I've seen many attempts at this, and I've only seen the one that was decent in the end.

    my heater will not work!!!

Getting at the heater core is a serious pain. You can try a coolant flush, if you're lucky that will get it back up and running. If not, you're looking at pulling the dash to fix or replace the core.

    Another clutch problem thread..

Send a message to one of the vendors... they will likely have one in stock that they are willing to open and put a mic on for you. I'm willing to put money on that being the wrong disc, whether the spline pattern is right or not.
