Spring pressure is the pressure the boost controller cracks/opens the wastegate. The wastegate opens, less air is spooling the turbo, boost pressure goes down...below the spring pressure threshold...wastegate is closed, turbo spools up again. This is for a constant throttle/pressure situation...
Any other options to replacing that hose/plug besides dealer something? Come to think of it, that, one of the two TB hoses and the lower rad hose are the only ones I haven't replaced.
+1 on the fan clutch rebuild, mine worked a lot better after I refreshed it with the 3000 cst oil. I also...
Depends what you've done to it.
I'd replace all the coolant hoses (ALL). Fix the CPS wiring and make sure it isn't brittle. Look around and check the wiring for the coil packs and the igniter. Speaking of that, go search for jetjocks igniter mod, that's a little something you can do.
If...
Heyo, a picture. Wish I could give ya a cookie.
IJ. nailed it on the head, too lazy to scroll up and quote. I'd rather not be a cheapass and replace it so I can absolutely, 100% ignore it for...another long while.
That is very helpful, thank you!
But, still doesn't solve the question: which pins are used in what connector throughout the harness? Those .pdf files don't address that issue, just give part numbers to the varying pin terminals.
Yeah I found that out after I re-pinned my old one haha, it's only $30 ish.
Talked with a few people about what terminals go where, they just pointed me towards the threads that have already been made...so noone has any concrete part numbers or anything. Besides the 090 terminals which fit on...
Those pins on that website, along with those rubber grommets fit the coil pack connectors...the other ones I'm not sure. A chart sure would be handy, but when I was searching this topic a while back I didn't find anything.
Did you happen across a place that sells the three coil pack connectors...
I think IJ can handle himself, butt out.
Cz. was perfectly clear in what one to get, the only way he could've gotten clearer was to link to a specific afpr for OP to buy.
I recall some people placing the socket on the bolt, putting a wrench with a breaker bar on the socket and letting the breaker bar rest against the ground. A quick flick of the key to turn the car on (take the EFI fuse out just in case haha) will crack the bolt loose.
That wouldn't work if it...
Do a google search and you'll find the AEM forums where it helps you set it up.
50% on my car with a stock CT26/full 3" exhaust is 10 ish psi through an automatic. The higher the duty cycle the more boost.
Starting time is greatly reduced, I'm really surprised how quickly it starts up. No more slight miss at idle either.
Ignitor's wires inside the case were really crispy, that was the only thing I ran into that could have been problematic. Ended up using vice grips on the ground screw to get it...
Thank you sir, that answer works for me :D
jetjock: I've heard you say 'doesn't matter because of the current involved' once before, I think it was in response to spark plug wires and their claimed ohms/ft rating. Where is the line between doesn't matter and does matter?
Call the taxi place and tell them you NEED information on (plate number) to file a police report for an accident. Date, time, person driving, etc.
Your fault for not calling the cops then and there, but you might be able to get it righted with a bit of work.
Oops, thought it was 3/4" =X 5/8" it is, off to find more silicone hose...
edit: Found my old hose in the garage. Legs measure ~2.5", so this silicone hose should work...
