    Few pics of my baby

Nice, I personally don't like the wheels, they're just too much, but the rest is clean! Don't get me wrong, the wheels would look ok on the right car, but with everything stock-ish the wheels don't flow. I've never liked overly done wheels on stock trim. Oh, and I think this should be under...

What do you GTE guys do for a voltmeter?

I put in an aftermarket gauge, I think if you're not too worried about a completely stock look, it is the easiest way to do it.

    altitude and timing

Another interesting thing about altitude, I noticed my vac seems lower, around 15 in/hg. I'm pretty sure it was more than this in TX. So I checked all my vac lines and they are fine (and brand new BTW) So I did a search for altitude affecting manifold vac, and read a few write ups about...

Thanks Nick. I totally forgot you use to live out here. Now I remember you telling me that when I first started talking about moving here.

    altitude and timing

Well thanks guys for the info, the timing thing never really made scene to me (no offense intended). I've also heard that some of the first turbo/supercharger development took place right here at pikes peak, not sure if thats true, but cool if it is. I got her back up and running, set...

    altitude and timing

Well I personally am only concerned with the supra, as my other car has no timing adjustment ;) But I'm in the process of getting ready to fire up the supra as we speak, as in the next 30min to an hour. And my goal is to set timing and fuel psi. So for now I will just set to 10deg as per...

    altitude and timing

Thats what I was thinking, because the ECU has an altitude sensor, so it must be able to correct for it. My thought is that the timing/altitude thing came from carbureted engines/ pre EFI.

    altitude and timing

At the moment I am running stock boost, but in the next month or so I will be finishing the build which is just basically a different turbo and running around 12psi and installing my Maftpro with RC 550s. What is done so far you can see in my build, but the main things are, a FFIM with 70mm TB...

    altitude and timing

I had to go pick up a new timing light today, apparently mine got lost in the move. So the guy at the parts place said, "You know you need to add 1 deg of timing for every 1000 ft of elevation." I have actually heard this from many people up here. I have been living in CO now for about 2...

chipped piston can still function correctly?

I don't see how that was just resurfaced....with a belt sander maybe? I would not use that piston either.

    Considering a move to Colorado

Whats up, welcome to the springs! I've been here for about 2 years and love it (except the roads suck ass). Get that supie up here ASAP ;)

Post Winter storage, rough idle. weird finding.

I would say probably bad fuel, drain it and put fresh fuel in. When I store mine I try to run the tank close to empty, then store it. When I go to wake it up, I drain any remaining fuel out and then fill with fresh.

Shallow Gauges to Mount in Stock Location?

Those are the exact same gauges I put in the stock locations. Here, print these pics out and show them to your "mechanic" and tell him he is a dumb ass.

    stupid question about a 1jz

It is going to just be sitting either way. The engine you get is just sitting somewhere else right now ;)
