**COUGH** CRANKWALK **COUGH**
BHG are ralatively cheap to fix compared to that little crank issue...and if done properly...they are very reliable.
Do your research and pick what you want. Nobody but you can make that decision. At least then you will have made an informed decision and...
Hahahahaha. "I did MHG and ARP...my engine will be perfect now...Yay" :nono:
No. Go read. Comprehend the reading. Act on the reading. Repeat until results are satisfactory.:biglaugh:
Lowered on H&R's. They look pretty good but the fronts tuck in slightly. I have a 8mm spacer in the front which allowed me to keep the stock studs and helped with the tucked in look. I recommend it.
This is before the spacer...look at the front wheel in relation to the fender.
It would be a good idea to buy the Speed Source lower pipe kit. It replaces the pipes leading to the intercooler with hard pipes and costs less than $100. I highly recommend it as I had the same problem as you and this is how I corrected it.
This sounds like a very interesting product. People should jump on this, its not too often stuff gets custom made for our cars. Please keep us posted on the progress of the Mk2 and 3 bars.
Thats a hot looking pipe. I lent George my car to have those fabbed up. We made a template for the fully polished ones too. Here's a pic of mine after it had been run for a while. It turned a nice gold/blue because of the polished stainless. And yes...George is the man.
Don't bother with 550's and the lex if all you have is intake and exhaust. Im running a divorced downpipe, 3 inch exhaust, intake and 10 lbs of boost. I dynoed 280 hp and 330 tq at the wheels. The next mod I do will be a wideband so I can keep an eye on things. At $200 I think that is cheap...
At the strip the 95 C4 will run roughly a 13.7. The ZR-1 is about a 13.1. The older the C4...the slower it is. In the mid 80's they ran mid 14's. I dont see a 400 whp Supra having any problems with one.
A Mk3 is a Mk3. Running against Mk4's is dumb because its just not an equal race. The day you bought an MA70 you started at the same place as everyone else. Whatever route you took to make that car haul ass down a track I don't care. Whether you have a blown small block or a 2J, its still a...
You may not notice the difference at your power level but it is very noticeable on high hp cars. A high hp Supra runs a large ammount of boost, all of which flows through your IC piping. The restriciton in IC piping increases exponentially with respect to the volume of air passing through it...
Ok. Im going to try and explain. I wasn't saying that the 2 45's were better than the 90 for the piping. I was saying that his entire explanation including the toboggan was incorrect. Decrease in angle and increase in bend radius increase flow. I don't want people to search for information...
WTF is your problem? Did I say anything to you? NO!!!! I didnt even make a personal attack about the piping, I just stated that his ideas and explanation WASN'T RIGHT! So when I correct someone for posting info that IS JUST PLAIN WRONG...I don't want to hear you bitch me out for it. Is it...
What do you think you have proven by posting those links? No matter how many people use the same style piping as that doesn't make it right. Its not a theory that less angle flows better...its a fact. However, there can be other packaging restraints which require a less than optimal piping route.
It really doesn't sound like the Lex/550 mod is what you need. You say that nothing is done to it right? If so, it shouldnt be too rich and there definately shouldnt be raw fuel. You may have a boost leak which would reduce fuel mileage. Personally I have never been a fan of the Lex/550 mod...
I let her idle from anywhere between 15 seconds and a minute. I always take it easy and no boost till I see the temp is where it should be. I also think about the diff and tranny. I know its good when it starts to shift smooth (well...smooth for a R-154). When its cold it really doesnt like...
I took it to a Toyota mechanic who does work on the side. Cost me 1300 CDN. Took about 2 weeks. Spend the money now...trust me. Its the best thing ever to turn up the boost and not have to worry...as much.
Corvette people have always sweared by the stuff. Thanks for showing your results. I think when my current wax runs out I will be buying sone Zaino. How does pricing compare to that of other waxes you have tried?
