i also know the spd signal is used for auto trans shifting. the ect ecu looks at sp1 (speedo signal) and sp2 (rear speed sensor). if the 2 signals do not match it will set a code 61 and will go to a default shift table. also, it is a digital signal, you can see it with an o'scope. i can't...
67 all day long. 500rw+ on pump gas, 600rw+ on race gas.
good spool, good power curve.
i might add, the compressor exducer on the 66 is a lot bigger than the 67. however, the 67 has a better wheel design despite being a little smaller on the back end.
wow already a month gone by and not much progress. been super busy at work.
did finally get a 350 (thanks josh). it has the b&m upgrade package, new steels and new seals. looking at maybe upgrading to a bigger oil pan for extra capacity and better cooling. something like this...
click reply button. in the second box where it says "additional options" click the gray box that says "manage attachments". it will pop up a new window. click the "browse" button and select the file from your pc. then click the "upload" button.
glad you kept the car.
i have the corbeau in mine as well. buddy made brackets for mine since i wanted to fit the seat lower. stock seats my head is on the roof and was esp difficult to wear a helmet. the brackets he made sit the seat almost on the floor.
whatever route you go, don't skimp on the seat and really...
i am in the process of the swap now. here is my thread (little slow going)

i had a full built stock auto on mine for several years and didn't have any issues. decided to change because the gm is geared well for drag racing, super...

the wheel sensors wont be an issue, that is unchanged. but we also use a rear speed sensor off the back of the trans, which will be missing. there are signals for the abs that run thru the ect ecu, which will be missing. i dont know all the details on it since i dont have abs on the...
thanks jay
thats pretty slick dave!

you can use a mid-late 90's camry speedo cable. you put it in a vice and make the tranny side square and it fits right in.
there is a company that also makes an adapter or something too. i'll see if i can dig that up. also, if you want the abs...
who knew there could be hurricanes in ky? finally got power back, but still have a 65' maple tree on my house. it smashed my porch and did some roof damage, but luckily it didnt come thru the house.
progress has been stopped, but now everything is semi back to normal i'm going to work on...
make sure you have the shim plates and clips installed. so many supras i've seen without these and they wonder why their brakes make so much noise. now, there are types of pads they will be noisy due to design, but these won't be if you have the correct harware. you could add some break quiet...
purple and green? what kind of night club is that? :greddy:
sorry, dont know much about CA law. usually what you can do is take the vin/plate info to the DOT. from there they will contact the owner and you can go from there.
i am still of the opinion a pt67 is the baddest street turbo. full boost by mid 4k and pulls hard to redline. you also have a fairly wide powerband without having to rev higher than stock. its an easy 500rw turbo on pump gas, and mid 600rw on high octane.
of course i'll be there. but it will be real close to have my car done by then. there are closer places to dyno, but much more expensive than hoofn since he gives me good pricing. maybe give the guy with the mkiv in jeffersonville a call. with a group rate maybe he'll cut us a deal...
