Silly me - I found the seals in my gasket set from the re-build... slipped new ones on and yep fits in real nice with still enough movement to know that both ends are seated nicely... Thanks again

Fuel Injector o rings, sq edge vs round???

I have a question in regards to the new injectors I just put in. Before I go any further though, I am not looking for opinions on whether these are the best injectors or not... I know there are a lot of opinions... I bought the 550cc Siemens Deka 3102 injectors. All the pics I see of them...

what would be the proper turbo?

I agree fully that the turbo alone will not do the job you are looking for... If you have the money, do it all at once (see mods below in sig, as example of what I am in the middle of), easier in the long run then to pick away at it... but the down side is you have to come up with all the money...

what would be the proper turbo?

I would go with one of the Drift Motion CT-26 bolt-on upgrades personally. In fact that is one of my current upgrades as you can see in my signature below. Here is the link for a 57 trim upgrade, there are options for 50 and 54. IMO based on research from driftmotion, 57trim appears to be the...

    HG choices

I would agree. I know sometimes you have to take the short cut when there is not the time or the money to do it the right way (daily driver your only car...), I understand hvyman's point, but imo as long as you understand the risk in taking the short cut and when it does fail and blow again...

    ***Centralia M&G - Springtime is coming - May 22nd***

Well since I live 10 minutes from there, guess no excuse for me not to show up huh? Although never been, I am newer supra owner, but bought the same year as the one I test drove when I was in High School... then I said, one of these days I gotta get one of these... 25 cars and 22 years later I...

    CajunKenny's Build Thread

Beautiful car Kenny, I have just browsed through all 40 something pages for two reasons, one you posted quite a few pictures which is very helpful in either getting ideas from others or verifying that the idea I may have had was a good one or not, based on someone else experience... but the 2nd...

    Stage II clutch selection

Dis-regard I believe I found my answer, plan to use the following, as it seems to fit my situation the best, unless anyone has had any issues, then I would be curious to know what the issues were. http://store.driftmotion.com/static/i-stage2clutchkitforr154.php Thanks

IJ - now that was funny... But on the serious side - Thank you to all for the insight, sounds pretty consistent, so I will start looking for the best resource and get one on it's way... Engine should be done next week :icon_bigg ... getting so close I can taste it

    Stage II clutch selection

Once again looking for experiences and opinions of those who are running the 7mgte in the 400hp range, what clutch/flywheel setup are you using, what brand and style? How is your setup working for you as a daily driver? I have seen several opinions, but in addition, numerous posters are...

Anyone using a sealed valve regulated type battery

While putting car back together, I thought of using a sealed valve regulated technology battery to alleviate the cleanup i had to do to all the metal around the old one. If anyone else is using one, any recommendations as to brand, style etc... Thanks

Yeah true with the JE pistons I can see maybe not being an issue, but I am using stock and I believe they come out about 0.020" above deck, so would surely interfere I would assume. HKS seems to only put out 86mm and Driftmotion description says up to 86mm bore, which I would deduce that...

Appreciate everyone's feedback... haven't been on in a few days.. damn virus hit all 3 of my computers... deep one, had to format everything :: angry :: So anyway the one and only question that I am not clear on is the following: How large is too large on the bore? It is hard to find a...

Lol - ok well I missed the most previous post in regards to cometic... So there is one that says no don't use it... But others have had good luck with them? A choice I will have to make I reckon... What about GReddy, any votes yea or nay? The HKS, looks like perhaps the best, but they seem to...

Thanks for the info, I will check Cometic, but it appears that what I need will be pretty standard... Deck to VC sruface - 115.82mm Deck to MB Saddle - 198.15mm Bore 83.50 Should net me a 2.00mm (1.90 to be exact, but close) with an 84mm bore... seems pretty typical... Thanks to all...

I have spent hours reading through threads and the sticky on mhg selection. I stopped by machine shop, they had to take off .015 off block, minimal off of head, but it had been surfaced once before also, but he said it was still .020 over toyota minimum, tomorrow I will ask for total measurement...

    Boost on Stock Pistons

Thanks guys for your additional input, I will swing by and chat with Vic (Machinist) adn see what he found during inspection. But with all the other money going into this car, no sense in taking a short cut that saves a little, but not a lot, I guess for that matter don't want to take any...
