It looks pretty good considering it was $50. It's not as good as real automotive paint, but, that's the be expected, it just looks a little off. But still, amazing for $50. You put a lot of work into it and it turned out nicely. Looks a whole lot better than it did before the paint. Good work!
I just took off my turbo and it looked the same way. I have a BHG and I spun a bearing so it's all getting redone.
Just checking that this is caused by the BHG and not running lean. I never really had white smoke at all, just a little at startup.
My friend did the same thing to his GS300. You have to use a resistance module thingy and a flasher so that the lights flash like stock. I think both of those are sold on the same site.
If the bolts on the top of the strut are tight, I would check the ball joint. Jack up the car and push up on the wheel, if it moves at all your balljoint should be replaced. Check the bushings under there as well, I had a bushing in the rear squeek, just put some wd40 on it.
Maybe Toyota realized that the Turbo is outdated technology (it can still be improved upon though) and they use Hybrid drives now. The turbo is much better for a tuner, but the hybrid engine is much better for the person who is not going to modify their car.
Here are some shots of my burgundy Supra. It's down for the moment but it should be up and running in the next month or two.
Here's a pic at the SoCal meet:
And here's one with my buddies:
EDIT: damn, my wheels were so clean before I tracked it... =/
