really? my cap says .9 bar... wtf
edit: i just checked on autozone and it is a 13psi cap... dammit... i checked both turbo and non turbo motor, can anyone confirm?
i guess that sucks if its wrong. but i might as well upgrade for future.
i'm not really concerned about robbing any horse power lol. i jsut want the best cooling that will work both in summer and winter. the clutch on my fan is brand new and i would rather use mechanical. but i rather not have the shroud that close to the fan neither. i will have a greddy temp...
yea as in road racing. i want to stick with mechanical but if i go with a 3 row then the fan fits farther into the shroud thus i think its becomes over efficient. i would also like to have an electric fan so that i can keep it running even after i finish tracking.
it could be.. my friend...
ok so i think it's time for me to upgrade my cooling system. when i was at the track i noticed my coolant started boiling (i think... it was making a bubbling sound in the overflow tank until everything finally cooled down). i did loose some coolant but once refilled the car was fine. The...
^ohh lol ok i thought you were saying they were the same lol. i have specs for the prosport but i can't seem to find specs for the greddy. maybe ill give em a call later today
quick question, generally speaking are all temp senders the same? EDIT: lets rephrase this. I have a greddy temp guage and the sender is too long for the stock waterneck (the part that detects the temp) now the last time i really worked with temp senders was back in HS when i was big into...
i just did a mock up of the light.. the more i look at it the more i dont like it lol. it looks awesome lighting up the road. but the car looks like it has eyes lol. i dont think i'm going to go thru with this mod. hopefully i can find something better at the jy
i agree with you about the dead space, but think about it... u never cruise with ur headlights popped up for no reason. and at night who really sees what shape ur light is. they just see how good the output is. the dead space sucks but it could be worse. i was thinking of shifting the...
i think i'm just going to center the light. i did some research on the lights i got, supposedly they are highly sought after from the e30 guys. they are ellipisoids. here's a estimate picture. looks to be straight foward, just build a bracket and then build a surround plate to fill in the gap
heh we'll see how it goes. BTW $6 for both lights. so $6 in the project lol, and they came with silverstars :) . gotta love the yards around here. btw i did alot of research when i was looking for the h4 conversions. i've had and seen many diff ebay ones. each one is diff. the one...
i've seen hella ecodes. the cut off line is about the same as my ebay ones * pilot automotive housings. i've been wanting to go HIDs but u cant do that in e-codes without blinding everyone. trust me, i've researched. these bmw houses are also made by hella btw
i picked these guys up at the junkyard today for like 6 bux. they are the same height as our's just round. what do you guys think? the cut off is decent. better than my h4 conversions.
^ nah i got it i just need to source out a tb then i'll switch everything. i'm just trying to understand the differences of all the setups and how they work as wel as figure out alternate ways to keep the bay clean. thanks tho.
Here is how everything is hooked up now. the isc connects to the tb. i have no idle problems what so ever, car is on maft blow thru mode if that has anything to do with it. no boost leaks
hmmm, i just had to pass emissions and the car passed with no problems. does that usually mean everything is working? i mean nj emissions aren't strict, but they also aren't easy. maybe i'm on to something? lol i noticed that a couple of big dawg people with ffim's have their valve...
i wouldn't trust ur stock guage if thats what ur using. my stock one is off. it wont go any higher than 40psi. i'm getting a new one soon. what happened was when i went na-t i dropped the sender. so perhaps urs is messed up too?
i took comparison pictures a while ago since i had a busted gte tb and the cressida one. i beleive this first pic is the cressida
and this one is the supra
notice how the cressida has the tb port before the throttle plate. and i beleive the turbo one comes after the plate...
turbo was just rebuilt by mdc about 1 month ago. if i take the hose off the isc the motor dies. it also has the check valve (the round disk with the flaps). as of right now the car is still setup as connected to the tb. it was originally connected to the coupler before the tb much like how...
