i'm running the mazda millenias.. they are around 7.5" from tip to tip (including the HID bulbs. I did not have to cut the radiator support, but i did have to cut the headlight buckets. i have a thread on this forums about it
they seem like stock headlights lol.. i didnt touch the mounting brackets. newer cars definetly have the edge in lighting, but this setup is way way way better than the ecodes i have seen. it does kind of suck that i lost my high beams, but i never really used them to begin with
i figured it out! it was my pass side bulb.. i think the postive came loose and shorted against the ground... that was a long painful process to find lol
ok i just did the rewire and i was driving around fine but when i got home i noticed that the fuse just blew for the fog lights.
i have the pre 89 so i followed this:
or Pre-89:
1. Find the fog light relay, cut the white/green wire (pin 3) and ground it.
2. Find the fog light switch, cut the...
^ i want them to turn on automatically with my headlights, like how it is stock.
i found this so ill try it tomorrow
or Pre-89:
1. Find the fog light relay, cut the white/green wire (pin 3) and ground it.
2. Find the fog light switch, cut the red/black wire (pin 4) and connect it to a...
after looking at the wiring diagram from what it looks like, i can have the fogs working like default if i give one of the red wires at the switch 12v.
wow, yea urs turned out hella nice, but it def cost alot more lol, if i had the money id prolly do what u did as well, but this was meant to be a budget setup since i wasnt planning to do the mod... i just happened to see a car with projectors as i was walking out and was thinking to myself i...
is there anyway to keep the fog lights how they are without the rewire? i personally like how they were setup before.. come on with my headlights. i dont need/want them on all the time
so i hooked up my hid kit wrong and i blew the fuse for the fogs.. so i figured no big deal, ill put in a new fuse. i did this and they still wont turn on. any ideas? i do not have anything hooked into the high beams pin on my headlights if it matters
added a couple more pics... i got delayed since i found out i have to remove the headlight brackets to do some cutting. everything just fits with just the right amount of room
haha yea, this is what happens when i go to the junkyard... something eventually becomes a new project lol. i can't wait to finish my new 4 piston brake setup. i should have everything done by that etown meet if all goes well.
^exactly what i got. i even had my dad spray down the hatch with a hose while i was lying down in the hatch and i didnt even see a drop, but somehow rain finds its way and collects in that cover peice
theres a old website that tested all the bars... i beleive the STs were rated around 10-15% better than stock but the whitelines were at the top at like 30%. if i find it i will post it up. btw whitelines > ST's. i've owned both, the st's were good, but the whitelines feel amazing
