so i haven't done much research yet but i assume that since i will only have low beams i can jumper the positive lead from the HIDs to the low beam wire on the stock harness as well as daisy chain it to the high beam so that it will stay on if the car is in low beam or high beam?
yeaaa i would ditch those ebay ones..... at least pick up a pair of real projectors like i did and do the mod im doing. its still not the best but u can do it without breaking the bank.
shaeff, i gotta suffer... im in the same state, but at least i will know who to go to when i see a mkIII...
does anyone know if the housings have to be vented? i belive with the h4 bulb there was a small air vent on the rubber boot. but thats long gone. i will see if i can get the glass siliconed in tomorrow so it looks more done than it is now lol
i never use my high beams... eventually i plan on doing a nice dual projector setup for high and low, but this will do for now since i have like a million projects going on at once lol. i just needed something better so i can see at night :)
so i was at the junkyard today and managed to swipe up a set of mazda millenia projectors for $10. woohoo!. so immediately i got home and ripped out my h4 conversion housings and started on my retrofit. as of right now i have silicoln drying from the inside of the housings. tomorrow i will...
^^ yea yea i know lol, i'm so tempted to go to the junkyard and take the ecu pins out too, because thats the only thing left that i havent tried. but i am happy that my car is running amazingh besides that. putting the maft back in pull thru, recircing, and tuning it again is about the best...
dont feel bad, i think mine came back on last night lol, i saw my check engine light come on and it didnt turn off, but it was too late for me to bother checking what it was... i'm 90% sure its the ks light
thanks for the compliments guys. eventually i want to get the whole car repainted because i want a show quality finish. the maaco paint is holding up but its got some clearcoat issues. The reason why the car is two tone cause im a poor college student lol, so i was just able to paint the...
here's my updated pre89 front end pics... since i smashed my bomex pre89 dual hole lip, i have decided to cheap out until i get my greddy bumper. so here we have my $4 home depot lip reinforced with a steel strip to give it some rigidity.
i got a set of the original whitelines... no adjustments up front, but its in the stiffest setting on the rear, i need to track them tho... i had ST's before and i thought they were amazing till i found these original whitelines on ebay for $120 last summer
i put all my guages into the stock cluster.. temp, oil, and boost. i also put my wideband in where the cig used to be and my ebc in the ashtray. super clean
my car never really stalled, but i did get some crazy backfires sometimes. my wideband would also peg rich between shifts, but then i decided to recirc my ssqv, its been amazing ever since.. i ended up cutting out the hks SSQV fitting and then gluing it into the recirc fitting, so now it...
in case this helps anyone but fuses i think are going to end up being better. i looked up the max operating temps of the bussman breakers, and they are max operating temp of 65C or 150ish. THey also become less efficient as they get warmed up by the engine bay. :( this is for the bussman...
thank jdub, i'll see what i can find. BTW IJ, if you have a working undercover and upper cover shouldn't u not need fans on the IC since ur fan is pulling air thru it anyway?
