which part of the linkage? the only part i have noticed may wear or be weak is where the cruise and the petal come together. and i fixed mine perfectly with a piece of coat hanger.

if im not mistaken, the center bearing supports the drive shaft. and it sounds like that might be whats wrong. you'll know when it really goes, it just happened in my friends 240 going 70 on the highway. shifter started banging side to side so fast i couldnt catch it to pull it out of gear...

i was able to just go to my local toyota dealership and pick one up.

i did all red, and i love it. ill post pics as soon as i finish my swap and put the battery back in. the only thing i left green is the temp display. because i didnt have a replacement. the whole process prolly took 10 hours. totally worth it. good luck
