LOL no dyno yet... actually I've been street tuning like crazy and running into problems like none-other.
First.. it's hard to get someone who has the same schedule to help me tune (I've recruited my G/F and taught her A LOT about basic tuning).
Second.. I keep poppin' the meth line from...
Sure guys, sorry my power wen't out lastnight... like it does EVER time it storms here. I'll have to wait until tonight until I can get to my laptop to post the map.
I'll email you my map as soon as I get back to my house later tonight. I'm hoping to make 500+ RWHP.
AEM and MS should all be compatable as long as the standalones are on the same injector time scale.
That 2JZ Probe is amazing, seems like he's the guy to talk to.
I've got a Stinger EMS Map for my 2JZGE-T on 870cc injectors (flow about 715cc comparing this map to my 550cc map by %) w/ a T70. I'd be happy to send you that map to give you a good baseline. You'd have to manually type it into your MS software after opening it in the stinger software.
The...
I say 1JZ because of the nature of the engine, and I believe it will perform nicely in a road race course.
it looks like 2JZ just isn't in your budget, otherwise I'd say it's the best of both worlds.
Just an Update..
I need to completely re-tune my car. The meth injection nozzles were injecting double the 50/50 mix of meth/water that I needed (28GHP rather than 14GPH I screwed up on the math)... causing my motor to severly bog, and a loss of potential power. The thing is... I need a lot...
Car runs great, I tuned it for up to 25psi until it started to rain. It feels pretty fast but I need to mess with the duty cycle to get it to spool faster. Meth injection seems to be doing the trick, I'm still keeping it pretty rich up top just to be safe.
I stopped by the dyno to get rates...
Today:
-Fixed my tach (thanks Aaron for the diagram).
-Set ignition timing for 20+ PSI. Had I not checked I would have been in big trouble. I don't think that 15* @ 29PSI is such a good idea ;).
Tomorrow:
-I hope to tune for more boost as long as weather/schedule permits.
For those of...
just for sake of argument, I broke even with my GE swap until I payed $1084 for the standalone.. then I tuned myself ;)
EDIT: I forgot to mention.. I have an excell sheet of how much I spent on my entire swap I'll have to post it as soon as my home internet is working. When I say I broke...
I'm running a 3.91 LSD. The car's really rev happy but I don't have too many traction issues now that I got some wider tires. If I broke this diff and could have any rear end.. I'd keep it the same. It seems to be working for it.
