My friends been driving on slick RA-1s in the rain for the past two weeks. Sure rain is socal isnt that bad, but I guess he's been doing fine as long as he stays under 40 when its raining. traction control also helps.
so yeah, you can daily drive race tires if you dont mind replacing them often
There is a thread on Supra forums about using a 1sv-fe bucket or something like that. Its from an Echo or some Toyota economy car that does not use shims, just straight buckets. However, the sizing is all off and they would need to be machined. I am forgetting the details obviously but a SF...
Mine are TRD at 9mm of lift and seems like there is enough for 1mm more lift but not much more if even that. Running stock buckets and Comp Cam springs. Previous owner ran them on stock springs, but I don't think think that's a good idea.
too bad there are no bigger sizes in 16" otherwise I'd stick with my 16s. The best I can find is 245/45/16 and 255/50/16. There is one 295/50/16 all season and one 315/45/16 drag radial but those are really tall and not very good street/track tires. Well, there is also the Hoosier R6...
I've been looking for this book online for some time and the only person I could find selling it is some guy on ebay/amazon who wants $995 for it (no joke). I checked my University's library today by chance and they had it in stock! It's very good so far, I've been reading it all day. It's...
My friend wanted to get this done to the crank dampener on his race car but the machinist at a very reputable race shop in my area said that the heat from cutting the rubber would damage it so that the rubber would deteriorate more quickly over time.
I recently rebuilt this engine and got it in the car. Since then I have been having numerous problems getting it to run correctly. Right now the car will start and idle fine. When I give it throttle it will hesitate a little to go up in rpm and it will also hesitate to come back down in rpm...
Usually the manufacturer of the o2 sensor will have that information. I believe the o2 sensor used with the LM-1 has 1volt = 10 AFR and 2volts = 20AFR for example.
.040" = 1mm. 3mm is a lot more than 1mm, if you are getting over sized 2J pistons than it will be 3.5mm larger than stock. Go find a block and see if there is even 7mm between the pistons.
This is the GReddy +2 sub injector holder, I found out that it was actually a modified OEM pipe so it's not that amazing but it does work. The injectors have the rubberish sealer and then the metal ring to hold it on.
I have the GReddy sub injector holder with 8x GReddy 550s.
I'll try to get a picture of it later tonight. I might have to go through all my boxes again.
