Ok, looks like mine. So what does each one belong to? I see the black HAC sensor, 4 ecu connectors, and the thick cube-like connector, but what are the rest for?
Hey guys, I need pictures of 86.5-88, 89, and 90-93 7mgte engine harnesses on the ecu connector side. I need to see what I do and don't have as well as location, color, etc...
My 87 gte harness has a few extra connections that are not plugging up anywhere in my 7mge chassis....
Don't forget to get it in running in time for the May 2010 Meet in Hampton Roads, VA!

So far we will have a pretty big turn-out!
Also, I would love to see a 2jzgte in person once I get my 87 7m running. I did a...
So far, no luck. I have printed the TSRM electrical wiring and taped it together so I have 2 11"x36" sheets of paper, one for the 7mge and one for the 7mgte. I see few differences in wiring when it comes to what is connected to the body harness. I have a few ideas and things to try, but 10-10...
I just tore open my harness near the ecu. I can't tell what is stock and what isn't, but I am ready to just replace and resplice everything to cover and possible issues.
Ok, so I am currently making sure all my wires are nice and connected. There are some connections which definitely need to be replaced, but I am only using 6 of the major connectors. Where do the others go?
And what is stock and what doesn't look stock? Iirc, the previous harness owner had a...
Ok, I am currently tracing down issues on why my car has no CEL, gets fuel at first but the pump stops when I crank it over, yet it still gets spark and ignition.
I have found an 87 ecu pinout and I am taking a multimeter to it to determine if and when I have power. This 87 harness is a...
I have received some advice from a friend locally:
Find an ecu pinout (http://www.turboninjas.com/gallery/James/Cars/Mk3Supra/pre89ecu.gif.html) and use a multimeter to check what is getting power and when. He mentioned something about the pump turning on when you put the key to 'on', but it...
I am currently having this trouble as well. No ECU light, but it is a good bulb and cluster. Currently working through the tests. My clock is fine though. Engine cranks great, tries to fire, and then dies...
Double checking something, because I have no reading on the oil psi gauge. I have the yellow/black stripe wire hooked up to the oil psi sensor, but i still read nothing on the gauge. I have the blue/white stripe wire hooked up to the coolant temp gauge sensor. The coolant ecu connector is...
87 harness/ecu, 87 engine, 87 chassis. I have the yellow/black stripe wire hooked up to the oil psi sensor, but i still read nothing on the gauge. I have the blue/white stripe wire hooked up to the coolant temp gauge sensor. The coolant ecu connector is obvious. BUT I still have a random wire...
I am assuming sarcasm was in use there, ogre.
I ended up using a new stock hose that was at one of my local stealerships. It was about 30, so I went ahead and got it. Now I just have to fully bleed the clutch. Currently working on getting the tranny to bolt in right, bolt up the driveshaft...
I would love to see some clean MR2's. I really want one... bad. I drove an MR-Spyder for the first time last weekend... quick little bastards...
Anyways, happy holidays guys! Keep getting people ready for the big meet!
Thank you, IJ. lol
So question.... I do not have my soft line from the first r154. I have the soft line for the w58. I am running the r154 in this car. Will the soft line bolt directly into the slave cylinder, or do I need to buy the $32 soft line for the r154 from the dealer? They are...
Hehe, I wasn't always... I should have listened on my first build with the 2jz. Instead of going all out $5k deep, I should have done a simple rebuild on my old 7m. But this go around I was able to start over with minimal cost and more knowledge... and I listened to those trying to tell me...
No worries IJ, I have all of the vacuum lines, egr system, fpr system, and proper sensors/wires hooked up. I worked a bit overtime to find the things I was missing and it paid off! :biglaugh:
Now I do have everything. I was fortunate enough to have a friend willing to cart me around this...
Ok, so I took some tips from my old 87 7mge harness. I now have the correct oil psi connector and wired that in. I have a random white wire with a blue stripe that dead ends to nowhere. I have the yellow wire with a green stripe hooked up to my coolant gauge sender. I am wondering if the white...
