I have a 98% assembled usdm 1989 turbo motor with "believed" rod knock....I'm not too excited about letting it go as it only has 70,000 miles (me and Iwantmkiii pulled the motor from a car he purchased as he had a built one already)....for the right price a may could let it go.
I live in...
Rt tuning fucked me over on a 7m head...they did $700 worth of work too a head that was cracked near a valve seat...their logic was "we tested it under 30psi of coolant pressure with no leaks" I say FUCK THAT!
As far as tuning I have no clue...but yeah the experience I had sucked!
One must really stay attentive too cage detail as dragons stink the high hell if ignored too long lol...FYI
Make sure you're friend gets on some reptile forums as generally husbandry books are way outdated and recomend "proven harmfull" advice such as using heat rocks:-(
I'd get a portriat of a supra but never words...atleast if I get out of supras I'll still have a badass tattoo (for the art aspect) not so much with words...in the end you're stuck with a words:-(
bad choice in tattoo's bro...props for the supra love but intrests may change with time...which...
Yeah my bad it would be .008....sorry I was falling asleep when I typed that previously.
That gap isn't for oil as the compression rings won't let oil pass anyway...it's for heat expansion.
this is where you are confused.....we are dealing with just replacing pistons according too the tsrm....you have it all ass backwards dude lol....you measure the cylinder bore first then select a piston that is small enough too give you a .0028" cylinder wall clearance...
Considering you are...
Wait you're correct....WTF...but that clearance isn't for "oil" it's for heat expansion....why would Toyota say that?
Stock piston clearance is .0028" to .0035"....not .007 or .0015.
No I believe that's for ring gap....you'll only want a .004" clearance ruffly depending on what this motor is built for (ex. More power more clearance as more heat=more expansion)
Don't quote me but I believe stock pistons have more that .0015" clearance as that's really damn tight!
