    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Hoists are always a nice thing to have. I wish I had one, it'd make my life a lot easier doing some mods/repairs.

Spring Restoration - Project old school MK3 revival

I had to remove both of my tow hooks to run my IC piping.

    Project Clean 87

I sanded down and primered and painted the cam gear cover to fix the flaws. I also paint the 2 bolts that hold it on along with the top bolt that holds down the passenger side light cover. I finally took a dremel to my DS headlight mounting bracket to enlarge the holes so I could better...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Welcome to my world Dan. I've blown 2 crank pulley's. The first exploded and did a ton of damage (98 miles from home), and the 2nd just separated, while my car was getting dyno tuned. Just think, the damage could have been a hell of a lot worse. The garage looks pretty good. I take it the...

The spark plug valley cover is installed and I bolted down the radiator hold down brackets and put in place the cam gear cover to show the end result. I'll sand down and repaint the cam gear cover in the next couple days, after the paint has had more time to cure (still too soft right now).

LOL Trevor. I am repainting the cam gear cover because I have to sand out the scratches. It's not easy painting with paint that has a ton of metal flake in it, especially from a rattle can. Thanks Gord. I'll put the parts on the car when the paint drys (aka when I get home from work...

    Project Clean 87

I primed and painted everything. The plastic parts (i.e. the spark plug valley cover and the cam gear cover) got a special primer that's clear while the hardware and radiator hold down brackets got a white primer. Here's the result after a couple coats of paint. I think I may have to sand...

The bling will come once the weather clears up and warms up enough for me to paint outside after I get off work or at work for that matter.

I picked up some new longer hex head screws to hold down my spark plug valley cover, along with some longer stainless steel inserts. The inserts are slightly smaller than the ones that were in the cover so I had to super glue then JB Weld them in place. I got 1 insert that wasn't the right...

LOL. The headliner is far from soft, trust me.

    Project Clean 87

Trust me, I was furious. The indents from my knuckles are still in the headliner of my Supra. It's come a long way and it's far from done. Update for today, I cut off the rear wing thing on my spark plug valley cover and did some mocking up of the cover with spacers. Looks like I need 1/2"...

It does look a little lighter, although I won't truely know until I see it in natural light. The light in the pics was from me holding a 100w shop drop light since the flash really screwed up the pics lighting. I think it may be lighter due to the primer being lighter than what the body was...

    Project Clean 87

I had to cancel the purchase of my ATI crank pulley due to purchasing my wife her first vehicle and it needing some cheap immediate repairs to make it safe. But there is good news, I picked up a can of adhesion promotor (primer for plastics) as well as a pint of color matching paint and had an...

Sooo yeah, I just ordered an ATI Super Damper crank pulley from Summit Racing since they had the best deal. I'll put my interior back together this weekend. Tomorrow I'm getting the breather filter I need for my ISCV if I can get it locally, along with ordering my color matching paint for my...

Pics of the 2jz's cam baffles, for the curious.

Dave, I'm sure Gord would be happy to sell you a pair for cheap since he has a couple spare blown 2J's. Gord, get a little bored?
