Breakup in 4th gear at WOT

I would replace those wires anyway but I doubt that was it. If it was hard enough to move you around (plus only happening in a higher gear and I'm assuming this was at night) probably fuel cut.

    Need thoughts... really weird problem.

Not to be that guy but unless your WG opening is teeny tiny or your waste gate is busted you don't have anything left to replace. Seems weird that a shop that builds a lot of turbo cars wouldn't have a tial 44 or pte 46 (same flange) to swap out to test. I do remember reading years ago that...

Broken switch on seat - what's missing?

Does the seat work if you move the adjuster? If yes, I would try some water soluble adhesive. If you are planning on recovering the seats later I believe those have to come off to get to the seat covers/cushions. I could be wrong. If it doesn't work now anyway, might as well see if you can take...

Ridiculous high release point on clutch

Probably a dumb question but have you tried bleeding it again? I've yet to have this problem on any of my cars so I don't have any particular advice other than maybe there's some some air or water taking up some real estate in the lines.

What happened to all the Supra meets? Anyone out there? Anyone? Bueller..?

Jeff as usual ATM. Unsure about Chicago but likely yes. There is also a Michigan meet now (think its in early August but again not sure).

    Budget brembo front brakes

Lol UPR charges $240? Auto zone remans with lifetime warranty are about $130 a pair including core charge. You can find take off used ones for $100 and less. Funny that they're so expensive from UPR, they usually sell cheap parts. Don't take this the wrong way I really hope it works well for you.

Ebony: 91 black 1jzgte (proefi friendly)

The NT05Rs do not hook at all 1-3 and rarely in fourth on a friend's car. 100whp less on 295/40/17s BUT no traction control. Hope you have better luck.

    Budget brembo front brakes

The problem with these brakes IMO is wait time on parts if you need them. Regular Cobra fronts with a good set of pads stop pretty damn well and you can walk into just about any parts store in the country and get replacements if you need them. You can't fit a whole hell of a lot of tire on the...

A new manual transmission is in town... The 'V154' !

If you shift them easy and do not leave hard and they are freshly rebuilt AND your drive line is ideal (tight, no slop anywhere whatsoever, no worn out parts, correct angles) they tend to hold roll in power well. I have broken one sub 400WHP with aggressive driving and seen them break locally...

What happened to all the Supra meets? Anyone out there? Anyone? Bueller..?

Indy meet has been trucking along but has been getting smaller and smaller and smaller each year. We had a very small number of cars last year come from Cincinnati area, Crisp came down from Lima and that was it. None of the KY or Chicago people showed up and every single local car was down. In...

Unless I knew/heard/saw that motor run I'd at least pull the pan and throw a hg and new Toyota bolts at minimum in it. JDM motors didn't have EGR stock BTW. JDM just means it sat in a junkyard in Japan instead of in the US. Given 7M tendency to pop HGs and how shitty it is to do in car I would...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

I had a car a few years ago with machined finish (and clear coated) saw blades. Actually looked pretty decent. I'll see if I can find some pics. Edit: Best I could find. Pic from previous owner... pretty sure its a scanned polaroid so excuse the quality lol

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Nope, not crazy. Pretty substantial upgrade over most MK3s. Makes a little less power than my car but a boatload more torque. Power issue can be solved for a couple hundred bucks, no big deal.

    Stuck steering intermediate shaft

I had one come out on me in the middle of a turn at 45MPH a few years ago. Mine stuck "turtled" as well. I had to remove it completely, put it in a vice, heat it a bit and pretty much put my entire body weight + everything I could muster into pulling on it to get it loose. Hope you have better...

What are you guys missing in parts/service/manufacturing support for the MK3 Chassis?

That's why I was saying modified chinafolds. They would sell 10 modded cheapies for every one custom one.

It really is pretty crazy. The slightest change can make a huge difference. Took me a LONG time to get my MGW perfect. Picking up my new short block tomorrow. I got offered a killer deal on a Terminator so I think the Supra will be up for sale in the next two weeks (assuming I don't find any...

What are you guys missing in parts/service/manufacturing support for the MK3 Chassis?

Like most of the ideas in here. Would like to add a set of smoked/normal rear lights that are all the same damn color. Every pair (10+) of 89+ lights I've had have had an off color center section and it drives me insane! Would like to see some smoked lights that match the smoked clear...

Have you thought about angling it Steve? Like instead of | it'd be a /. That's how I have my MGW in my GT for the same reason. I have to have the seat all the way back to keep my knees out of the dash board and I'm not sure its humanly possible to reach 5th normally like that. Lol
