So I need something I can bring to work or down in the garage...I need something with good audio as I listen to techno/trance most the time and at work there is alot of back ground noise from the machines (it isn't loud but somehow messes up stereo sound)...
I went to walmart and their...
Check your clutch fork, master/slave for leaks, pressure plate fingers, and have a friend work the clutch while you look threw the inspection holes in the trans...
My guess is a broken fork or something caught between the pp and clutch disk.
Internals don't change oil pressure...only bearing clearances...so your oil cooler system and lack of squirters is how you get such awesome pressure as now you only have 1 pressure bleed instead of 3 (all three open at 40 psi).
Another thing...if you don't have a steady flow of decent cash then a 20 year old sports car isn't for you...these cars are great but they are old and will need constant attention.
Sounds like an awesome car!
As far as daily driving, they are "decent" on gas aslong as you stay out of boost...they handle very well but you
must be very careful in wet/snowy roads as the rear end breaks loose easily.
I'd buy it in a heartbeat if it's as good as you say.
I've had regular brakes....switched too brembo rotors and pbr ultimate ceramic pads...hate the pads!!!! They stop well but fucking squeel the whole time and already need replaced after 1 year....rotors look good though.
I'll be getting Toyota pads next time.
Alot of these are made up on the spot and never used on this forum....why save and sticky a bunch of letters that aren't going to help this particular forum???
Come on drake...98% of what you posted in that stupidly long list has nothing to do with supras...
Your honest best bet is to timecert them all to 7/16....timecert is a better more solid design unlike helicoils...a cert will distribute the load much better...this is in my opinion the only logical thing to do at this point...short of gettin a good head.
Just reread your info....you already fucked a stock size helicoil correct? If so then your only option is too drill it out and go bigger or fill with weld and start over...both suck
You may be able too have an insert made too keep stock bolts but you'll still be removing more aluminum from...
Were they helicoiled? If it wasn't helicoiled then maybe (I'll have too look up the drill size for a 10x1.25 helicoil tap). If it was helicoiled then probably not unless timecert makes a custom insert....
Ij and myself highly recomend fixing it before it breaks! The rear half is the same between turbo & n/a...keep that in mind.
The driveshaft in this pic was mine! It was this that fucked everything...if my na will do it then I wouldn't chance it on a modded gte...
