I am going to double check if the FP changes when the vac line from the regulator is disconnected....
I actually capped off both fittings on top of the throttle body because when i had them on there it sounded like they were producing a leak for some reason and now i am not hearing that...
I love them.... you will get some weird noises riding over bumps if you have old motor mounts though. (or bad ones) Ride is excellent. The install was easy, no different then a regular shock spring combo (other than adjustment) Good Luck
Unplug the ECU and plug it back in.....I just pressed on the plug into the ECU and swapped AFMs and VIOLA! Running like a champ...but on the stock AFM instead of the LEX :aigo:
If that does not work...check the coils
wow does that sound familiar....i just went through this. Does it sputter when you drive it? yeah make sure to check for codes...e1 and Te1
BTW you may want to check out my thread (another misfire thread just one down from yours) Jdub has been helping me out and had some great suggestions...
Same electronics...no codes. I am posting a link of the engine bay...maybe I hooked something up wrong

discard the date because I just took the pic
If it is the exhaust manifold be careful with those studs because they tend to back out and are a PITA to get back in and torqued to 29ft-lbs because the just keep spinning....ask me how I know;) Other wise just check to make sure the all of the turbo gaskets are ok and the downpipe to cat/test...
I actually bypassed the j tube so that really can't be the issue...as far no unmetered air getting in, i have checked all of my hoses (they are all new from toyota) to make sure they are nice and tight and they were. I guess i need to check for vacuum leaks in th emanifold area...I drove it...
:word8kn:
Pick you poison on the smoking problem....valve stem seals, turbo, etc.. as far as the idle goes, you probably have a serious vacuum leak or the TPS is not aligned properly...just top name a few from the top of my head...
For the most part it will fit with stock pipes but I would strongly recommend upgrading the pipes before you do the intercooler because you probably have some nasty oil in the stock pipes if you are running it without a catch can. I would hate to see you get that oil in your new intercooler. the...
I swapped the AFM housing from the LEX to stock and it fired right up with perfect AFRs. It sputtered for a little bit but then I gave it throttle to about 3000rpms and the sputter went away. I took it out and it was smooth as it gets through the gears....Still kind of puzzled though because...
The damn car is acting up again.....sputtering real bad at idle and through the gears....Matt is going to stop by so hopefully we can figure it out!
When I drop the fuel pressure the sputter stays the same just idles down a bit. I did not check the gap on the plugs because I was told that the toyota plugs come pregapped!? Yeah when i get home I will set the timing to 10 degrees. Thanks for your help JDUB! I will update this tonight
Well when i drop the fuel pressure my AFRs go to 17.8 at start up and then flat line (18 or over) at idle.....do you think my sensor is FUBARED? I am using the DENSO Iridium Spark plugs from Toyota.....and my plug wires have about 1000 miles on them. Thanks for your input by the way JDUB...I was...
Well as I previoulsy posted I just got my motor done.....I put in the Lex AFM and the PTE 550's with a AFPR. Before when i would start the car the idle would sputter and go in and out b/w 1000 and 1200 until normal operating temperature and then would go away and idle normally at about 650. Now...
