Well, looks like I am going to get the Supra back on the road soon. Bill just got his new shop so once he gets everything setup we are going to start tearing into my motor and make it right. Hopefully it will be done by the end of February (the time frame is mostly dependant on how long it...
You forgot to add that they're light as hell and are total tin cans. The 80's RX7's weigh about as much as my Geo Metro and aren't as safe (although the 89-94 Metro's were death traps). Not sure on the APEX seal either, I did hear they did a lot of work to the Wankel for the RX8 and made the...
Yeah, but could they hang with the MKIII on both the drag race and the twisties? And how upgradable were they for various applications like drifting, auto-x, road racing, and whatever else that MKIII owners have modded their Supra's for?
I'm with you Dave. When the MKIII came out it was a high-end sports car that was way ahead of its time. Of all the cars I've driven, the MKIII is by far the most comfortable (although the Grand Marquis is uber plush). Now I'm curious to see what the sports car competition looked like back in...
Yeah, it is a pretty gay feature. Better though than the auto locking doors. My 94 had that and it drove me nuts. I ended up unplugging the doors to solve that issue. I've heard of a couple Metro guys grounding the e-brake switch to fool the car into thinking the e-brake is always on. 1 guy...
LOL, mine were the same way. They only stayed up if they fealt like it. No, I keep procrastinating. I'll probably do that tomorrow, got homework to crank out tonight.
LOL, lazy. I used a cordless drill and a bench vice and it took me all of 5 minutes to swap both struts. This included drilling all 4 screws, then using the screw remover and drill to unscrew the retarded screw, using the bench vice to remove the screw from the screw remover, and install the...
I just replaced the hatch struts, had to use a stripped screw extractor on all 4 screws since GM is retarded. Like a good Supra owner I have bins of extra hardware laying around so I replaced the retarded phillips screws with 10mm bolts. Now my hatch stays up and takes a good amount of effort...
As has MetroMPG, a Geo Metro ecomodder that gets killer mileage. Here's his testing with tire pressure.

And here is more of his ecomodding tests and results.

The ideal tire pressure all depends on the...
