    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

ben42391 Thanks for the compliment. She is not only going to be a real screamer with the addition of the 272 cams and custom billet 67, I am also taking her back to the body shop early spring to repair a few chips and to repaint my mudflaps. Now seriously looking for a roll cage. Let me...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Latest update: Thanks to Funky_Monkey's phone call I was able to snipe these HKS 272s for $300 tonight. Used but acceptable. I had planned on the 264's but since I was going to replace valve springs anyway, why not? This is going to be a real bad ass car come spring. I am posting up my...

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Sean, Of course you are correct. This is one of those times that all those year of tuning experience are worth every penny. In the spring, I will want to do the same thing. Have her running and then let Shane tweak that Billet 67. I want her to have as few of hick ups as possible.

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Steve, Looking good. I agree with Emilio. Take it easy on her this fall and get Shane at DB to fine tune it in late March. Having it tuned by a guy who does tuning for a living is essential. At least you can drive it there. I am happy your up and running. Getting it tuned professionally helps...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Got my Greddy oil filter relocation kit in the mail today. It looks like the guy who had it didn't know how to properly use the high pressure lines as it was leaking. These dudes are expensive but got her for a great price. I ran the Supra up and down the highway and to the store...

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Good job guys. With the warmer weather forecast this week. You will be able to drive her for a couple of days!! Winters not far off though. I went north yesterday and there was 3+ inches of snow on the ground.

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Rob, I thought you told me you had put in weight and got a hair cut!!! Steve, thanks for checking the coils on the 2jz last night. It is nice to have an official Toyota mechanic in the "family" I know there is a lot you can teach us. If you run across a link to the oil cooling set up we...

    92nsx's supra build

Thanks Rob, I am trying to slowly move forward with at least a few small projects while saving for my turbo upgrade. Once the cold stuff hits I am pulling off turbo and selling all the components. Plan to shoot video of car with turbo on and off her.

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Looking good. Sean told me you are driving up tomorrow. Perhaps if we get lucky my wife will cook up some Brazilian food. I hear the weather is warming up on Friday, mike take the Supra for one last run before jack stands and pulling off the turbo...

    92nsx's supra build

Rob, That turbo is sweet. I also really like the lip you bought. I am accumulating parts for my winter build as well. They say Friday is going to be 65. I am thinking of taking my brother Dallas from Arkansas who is visiting for a fast ride before putting her up on jack stands as well. Dallas...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Sean, Do you think we have to weld this or can it be taped and threaded? How much are those 4 inch metal intake pipes from SS? I think we should order one up, weld on the nipple and then get it powder coated along with the new intercooler pipes. Dan

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

NewGen, you are correct. This winter we will be venting her correctly. I just need to pull off the valve covers and get Sean to weld on a nipple on each side. Also plan on rerouting my IAC as well. Lot's to do before the big mid May MN Supra track day.

Callout to FIGGIE lets run em in the spring of 2010

Duane, yes, that's the spirit. I am just smack talking. This was supposed to be fun and games, not some attack on one's mental status. Regarding engines, in my unscientific observation there have been more 2jzs built with better reliability at higher h/p than the 7m. However, your 7m is a...

Callout to FIGGIE lets run em in the spring of 2010

Yes I am Sean's Uncle, and I plan on spanking his funky_monkey ass all the way down the strip. Better engine, better set up, and if all else fails I can outspend him and buy a huge fucking turbo. But I am pretty confident my new custom Billet 67, and with Shane at DB performance to tune it, will...

Callout to FIGGIE lets run em in the spring of 2010

Duane, I loved your video. Yes, it is my 2JZ. Figgie, I have known Sean his whole life. He is the kind of guy who would lay down in a cold mud puddle to wrench on your car if you asked him to help. He loves to have fun, tease and poke fun at people and this "call out" was one of those...
