    Need Help On Power Issue

Hey Nick, did you have to touch the alternator wiring for your swap? Maybe you mixed up some wires? I had a bad starter making it seem like my charging system was going bad, I was so sure I had a parasitic draw. I got a new starter and did the starter relay mod and every things been fine ever...

    Stinger thread....

Good call, as I recall you chance pre-maturely killing an O2 sensor by exposing it to heat without power going to it. Speaking of finding walkarounds, the idle control was so finiky for the stinger I finally hardwired a switch for it. It's crude but it works, and also saves one of your...

    2jzge into mk 3

you can't use the 7MGE W58, you must use the 2JZ w58.. which means mounting difficulties and a custom driveshaft. If you still want to do it, which you shouldn't... then you'd need a 2JZGE clutch, flywheel, PP ETC. If you go R154 you need a turbo driveshaft, 1JZ bellhousing, 1JZ flywheel, 7M...

    Stinger thread....

There's an idea! I was thinking about how I could wire up a switch to control it, I guess I could just kill the power to the NB02 with a manual switch/aux out. Thanks! For now I lowered the "allowable change %" for the stinger's control over the NB02 and t helped out quite a little bit at...

    Stinger thread....

I just sent the Stinger guys a message regaurding my problem. I run a narrowband 02 sensor to give me a little better fuel economy during cruising.. the only problem is whenever the car idles for more than 20 seconds, the narrowband function over-corrects my idle and causes the engine to hunt...

1J has a hard time starting...

Even tho people argue this is not the "correct" way to fix the problem, this is what I did and it fixed all of my no-starts. It was very annoying. :icon_mad:

    Son, dad .. car relationship

Same here, I've taken my neighbors for rides, but my dads never even asked for a ride in the supra. My neightbor has multiple vipers, hemi cudas, a prowler, and an SRT10. He took me for a hell ride a couple years ago. I need to take him for a ride. He has no idea my Supra has nearly double...

Want to see a mustang owner humiliated?

heh' the cars always for sale. If someone comes to me with money or something I want, I may sell/trade it. I'm always looking for new projects. Oh yea, I painted that thing, it was the first thing I did to my car. I did a terrible job, but I think it looks better than it did. I can't remember...

Carbon Fiber / Fiberglass items what would you make?

x2, some flat fiberglass mouldings that sit flush-ish with the body pannels would look great. Edit: just saw zer0degreez post, what he said.

    Running shoes

I felt like I'd be overpowering the radials, and I still like to tear up the backroads, so i wanted something with a stiffer sidewall than the DR's. Falken Azenis are good cheap tires for backroad cruising, I didn't think the DR's would do as well.

just got off the dyno, need advice

I agree methanol injection would help, and it works great on the MAF-T (from personal experience). But, right now, I'd worry about getting the tune at hand straight, and not about using band-aids to fix the problem. We don't want to over-complicate the situation.
