I'm getting ready to sit down and order the necessary things to replace the stock oil filter mount and relocate the filter to somewhere a bit more accessible.
Now, I have one simple concern. I get the whole point that a t-stat in the line will help warm up the oil faster which brings it to...
"Smart Aluminu", LOL @ the irony.
Thanks jdub!! Now I finally have some rock solid information. I'll put the check valve in the line and vent it to the atmosphere at some suitable spot while I source a JDM can.
The plug designs are the same, but the setup is different is what I was trying to get at. I generalized all the plugs in the car. I'll leave a sticky on the monitor reminding me NOT to view forums right after waking up :p
If anything, Autozone carries a kit with all the seals for the factory pump. It runs for about $26 and it pretty much leaves the pump new unless you somehow cracked yours. The PS is not a luxury on these cars. It's not a commodity either like the AC.
Really need to have a good look at the EPC. Clearest difference is the whole ignition assembly. With the NA having a distributor and Turbo having coil packs and cam sensor.
I'm on Xbox :/
By the way, I agree that the actual MP just doesn't feel as fun as MW2. The campaign is freaking great and the zombies thing is almost as fun as Left 4 Dead, but the MP pisses me off. I think it's the terrible spawn points and the inconsistency of the guns.
I've been trying to source a yellow plug, GTE, Manual JDM ECU so I could send it to 3P and then have him send it back to me after he's done but no dice.
Does anyone here have one for sale? Everything I find is either grey plug or USDM :/
Ah, I will secure it for precaution's sake then. Haven't had a chance to test out the WG pressure though.
A note to anyone else that buys this turbo. Not sure if it has been discussed, but you might need to rotate the center section just a tiny bit counter-clockwise (looking from the front)...
It should look just like the one in the EPC :p, but I want to completely compare it to the other one I have here. Mine should be smaller. I also want to know if there's anything special about it visually that I can't tell from just the drawing.
Still, I'd like to ask you. The hose after...
I really, really, really need someone with a UK spec 7M to answer some quick questions. If you have one, and any kind of camera, I'd like you to please take a shot of the following item:

To be specific, the check...
We have BITOG and our very own section in SM for engine oil facts, both of which are superbly educational. Thing is, no matter how much I search I can't find solid facts on all the different pump gas. I'd like to know if there's a BITOG equivalent for gasolines or if someone here knows facts...
I have an '88 turbo but I've changed the alternator twice now. I'd like to know if there's any way to visually know if I've been given a 70a alternator or the 80a alternator that came in the later cars. I'm asking since some other thread here mentioned the use of a 1991 MR-2 alternator that...
Some of the nuts are really uncomfortable to get to and that's what takes time, specially if you don't install things in a proper order. It is possible to even do it under one hour if you work really fast.
I just got my own T61 about an hour ago. And I have great news about one detail at least. The WG flapper doesn't move around anymore. Apparently they fitted it with a longer shaft and spacer to prevent it from moving to either side.
The kit still includes the cheap bolts that will break...
Did you at any moment disconnect the lines from the ABS actuator? Assuming you have ABS that is. I couldn't figure out what the hell was wrong with my brakes until I happened to stare at the ABS and smacked myself. Also, I believe that if you do have ABS, you're supposed to go from furthest...
