    head torque

    It doesn't hurt at all to recheck them or anything for that matter, but over tightening will stretch the bolts and they will not hold correctly, if you do some research you will find this to be true.

    ARP Bolts/Studs have a torque setting they are suppose to go to if you go over that then they are trashed. The Studs that you got should have the info with them on what to torque them to. Go by ARP specs not just whatever sounds good.

    I have noticed that some of the hoses are very hard...were the hoses always like that or just ended up that way? And how important is it that you replace it with a hard type hose?

    What about Mobil 1 I might be a bit cheaper then those but still a great product. And you should be able to pick it up at any Auto parts store.

    I'm wanting to replace all my hoses and vacum lines as probably half of them are cracked or will crack and I'm sure I have boost leaks out the waazoo. Can someone point me in the right direction on if someone has a kit or what sizes I should go buy in bulk so I can cut them as I need them...

    I just bought my first MKIII and am new to this forum, its an 1989 Turbo Targa 5 Speed. I have owned a few MKII and am working on restoring one now. Here are a few pictures I have taken of it. I really good a good buy on this one, I just couldn't pass it up.

    84 L-type Rebuild.... again...

    the Cressy is runnin, its a very nice car for the price I would have bought if Matt hadn't. The Supra is missin the rest of the intake pipe and the AFM. Remember this isn't a turbo engine but there is enough room to put one which may happen someday.

    Droped the Engine in tonight, Hoping to fire it up tomorrow. Will be painting the valve covers yellow at some point and probably the power steering pump tp cover up the nasty rust.
