Since mk3's were never produced in the beautiful anthracite color, i'm curious to see if anyone else has painted there car this color? or has pics or a link to another mk3 thats been painted this color. I'm Interested in painting my car this color but before doing all this work spending all that...
when rebuilding my 7m with around 120k miles I used a valve spring compressor to make sure the spring were in spec all checked out good, since most 1jz come from lower mileage cars hopefully they are good aswell.

Thanks for the info, I was counting on the valve stem seals and re shimming just to get it in spec. Whats the stock intake and exhaust clearances supposed to be?
Whats the difference between the large and small cores? Im assuming I should be okay up to 7500. Since your a 1jz owner have you upgraded the head? if so what have you done? what hp are you making with that 70mm? and how high do you rev?

So If I were to change to top feed injectors I should be okay to run ~500whp
my fuel system consists of mk4 denso, stock lines (feed and return), and upgraded fuel rail with injectors. This should support 500whp? or am I miataken?

I have been trying to get ahold of pat awell, last time i talked to him they were supposed to be getting a new one designed and test fitted. That was back in December and it was to be completed in January if I remember correctly. Keep me updated aswell.
