the previous owner told me this one is to long....he had to make a shorter test pipe if im not mistaken.....i dont know if his downpipe would have anything to do with that thoug....maybe his dp was too long?
so your cat was a bit too short then? with the extension flange you think it will fit perfect eh? this is exactly the type of info im looking for..thanks dub!
dont understand what was so hard about asking how to make something work without hacking anything while still useing a cat.
if you could get pictures to show us exactly what you did then that would help alot! obviously no coolant is reaching the heater core so youre not gonna get heat.
you are maxing out the lex afm...good friend of mine is hitting fuel cut with his 57 upgraded ct at 15 psi so yours sounds about right. youll have to finally change to a standalone or maftpro type setup using speed density
Hot tanking is good....ultrasonic is better...pressure washing is ok...
A hot tank gets things CLEAN! But it can eat bearings and freeze plugs...
Very few shops have an ultrasonic cleaner so rule that out
pressure washing works but you must get oil on it asap to displace the water..
If you...
Dude...did you read a damn thing I wrote?
Yes let me return my $600 stainless blitz system that I pretty much
paid $200 for so I can buy a $200 canister.
Welding isn't a problem for me on mild steel...stainless I have never welded and I only have a mig welder...bit again "I don't want a...
I could but that's a last resort as I want a cat:-(. I really don't know how much longer the blitz is so I have no idea if the concept is that easy...
If some here is running a blitz I was hopeing they could give me the measurements for how long of a cat I'd need...
I'd still need to drive...
I'd rather not cut anything at all as my exhaust system on paper cost me $1200 as it is (I didn't pay that much but it's what it's worth)! I'd rather buy a test pipe or cat already cut to length for a ma70 supra with a blitz nur spec if there is such a product...
I should be getting my blitz nur spec system in a week or two and the previous owner informed me that they are generally to long and need to be modified to fit using a custom test pipe...
No exhaust shops near me will make such a pipe as it's illegal for street use and I'd much prefer a cat...
Anybody have pics of how the cams look at tdc on compression stroke? Just trying to double check my work:-)
also a pic of a properly installed cps looks like at tdc?
if you tell a cop that here in the usa he most certainly does have the power to deem your car a hazard....he can and probably will have your car towed!
the jdm oil pres sender is different i believe....and the boost sensor isnt jdm related as its not connected to the engine and just reads pressure...the only way youre gonna find the problem is go over everything you have done...you probaby didnt plug them all in.
the oil pressure sending unit is right beside the oilfilter housing on the side of the block....it will have a rubber cap over top of it and when you simply pull the rubber boot off it will be a gold color metal unit....very hard to change out on an assembled motor lol....id check or a broken...
just pull the oilpan off and jam a 2x4 between the crank counter balance and the inside block wall....then use a pipe over a wrench to break the bolt loose...real easy stuff.
