    Oh yeah, the 7m/setup is up to PAR, even though I have not pushed it to its limits yet. I just want to try the 2J. Acquiring 2 free shortblocks is really what started this whole thing.

    Thanks. Anybody have suggestions for pistons and valves coatings. Swain tech?? I have also looked at Casidiam/Anatech coatings.

    Oh yeah forgot to mention, custom intake and exhaust manifolds :D Might be a dry sump setup but still looking into that. Also pondering on the idea of billet machined cylinder head but I keep asking myself, "WHY?!" A friend mentioned that he knows somebody locally that makes his own...

    Update, 09/19/2008: Car has been running for a while now. Engine broken-in. Few dyno pulls, last result is 844 rwhp 646 rwtq @ 26 psi. Everything is working as expected. I'm really happy with the dry sump system, MoTeC system, and all the design and fab work...

    new header for the gt42R? I haven't built it yet. But all I use is 321 tubing and at least 304 on the flanges. HTH. Ron

    welding = hard

    I guess when I was learning, stick was the hardest, especially overhead :). But having done all processes, TIG became my favorite. If you have access to oxy-acetylene, it's like an old school TIG :D. Thanks for the compliments on my welds, BTW. Ron
