Again dont say anything. If they could arrest you they would already be at your door. If you do get arrested only one word should come out of your mouth, and that word is "lawyer"
Tom I will tell you this is a terrible idea.
Legally your safe. Technically even if they got your plates, if they can't put you in the car, they cant prove you did it. The problem is your going to develop a reputation. Theyre going to be looking for you and its not easy to hide a supra...
A friend and I tried beggin strips and snausages when we were like 8. Wasnt the worst thing I ever tried. My friends father told me that pan fried squirrel was pretty good. Man was he wrong.
Ok first we gotta get the cel figured out.
The clock does not appear related to the CEL. This means one isnt causing the other, however the two could have the same cause ie chewed wires
Accordingto the TEWD diagrams it looks like it gets power from a 7.5A to it with a yellow wire. from...
1 Not really good practice, your cooling system needs pressure, but ok
2 There are coolant lines back there
3 Wouldnt consider a headgasket job cheap, at least if you want it to last.
4 Heater core is on the otherside of the firewall. And idk about you but i would much rather replace a...
Seeing as the light never turns on, and the bulb is definitely good, i would say you have an open between the ecu and the cluster. Did the car sit for a while? maybe a hungry mouse got in there.
I will try and pull up the wiring diagram for it and have a closer look.
The issue with the JDM motors is they are misrepresented to have 40K and run perfect. They often have been BHGd and sold out of junk yards with rod knock. Furthermore there is no advantage to a JDM motor. Its gonna cost more than a USDM found locally, and if he gets the JDM hes gonna have to...
Correct and correct. You need what is referred to as a yellow plug harness. (the plugs for ecu are yellow) These can be found in 86-88 and a few 89s. You need the turbo electronics such as ignitor afm exc. but yes it will bolt in and be PNP. As far as the tach issue, you just swap it. I sold...
No, you need a turbo computer. Easiest way is to get a Turbo harness that matches your car (year, abs exc) The new harness body plugs will plug right in and your good to go. no splicing/welding mounts or anything crazy.
1jz is going to be alot harder, and no ge to gte is a pretty straightforward swap. People on here will be able to set u up with everything you need. Search the FS section. If you dont see everything you need make a WTB thread. 99.9% of the time someone will have it.
Honestly if a ge to gte...
My first guess would be multiple opens. What kind of shape is your harness in?
It could be the t1 or te1 wire is open, but then i would think your cel would turn on with key on and car off but not flash when bridged to check codes.
Edit: no that wouldnt make sense b/c of clock not...
