If you cut most of the bracing off the back of it then it weighs about 24lbs. I realize a carbon one weighs probably like 5-10 lbs but thats not really THAT much weight. EDIT: SupraClauo a couple posts...
Well the car was running (according to the tach) when they took the pics and the oil pressure is off the charts. Plus there is no pic of the temp gauge side so who knows if it overheats(BHG).
Yeah its been awhile since I've read anything about it so I could definitely be wrong.

Brian, from what I've read over the years the stock hood isn't very heavy compared to carbon or fiberglass ones. Maybe consider just cutting some of the supports off the back of it then using hood pins make sure its secured? Would a carbon hood put you in a different class?
Impreza's were never turbo'd from the factory here in the states. The Impreza WRX which came about in 2001 was the first one.
...unless you were wondering about an aftermarket turbo.
