Putting a LEX on a stock engine will cause it to run lean, doesn't take much to melt a piston or blow a HG if you are running very lean and boosting on it.
Welcome 2 the forum. I did my HG as well just over a year ago and have had no problems yet...knock on wood. Until recently I had the boost cranked up to 12-13 psi, my turbo is starting to use even more oil so I backed it down to about 8 psi before it boost creeps to around 10 at higher RPM's.
And I was trying so hard to forget the 80's and what happened to cars.
You guys might not be a fan of General Motors but this will affect all car companies.
