    Possible electrical short?

Sounds like you got a short to ground somewhere. but yeah worn or damaged wiring insulation can be causes of shorts. Active wires that is somehow incorrectly connected to earth can play a role as well.

Are human beings this ignorant? A strut brace rant.

Saw this post while ago. But yeah in the end it's their cars let them do what they want to it. I think I learnt something from Jejock. It's best not to invest time on teaching clueless people. (not saying that to you, the people in the facebook group who are being ignorent)

    Cut out during acceleration

Well it's logical to free up restriction within the intake but if you don't balance the ratio between Air and Fuel then you're gonna run into some problems. Remember Leaner the meaner. Which is why the 550s is a must when changing to Lexus.

    Worth puting back together?

Hmm it depends whether it's cost affective than buying another shell and transfering everything over. You could buy a nose cut/half cut and chop the front off and weld it on if there's a panel shop out there willing to do it. But i've seen cars out there thats been in worst condition than...

Which Gasket set for a 7mgte Rebuild?

If you read the description on drift motion. "This is a good quality gasket set, but the head gasket doesn't have the copper inserts around the water jackets, so we don't recommend using the head gasket or the cork oil pan gasket. Otherwise, all the other gaskets are good quality and this is a...

    proper 7mgte rebuild

haha I remembered that quote of IJ. I suppose it wouldn't hurt for a daily.. not sure about street car depends on driving habits and tune. But if it's gonna be a track car or drag then i'd be definantly looking somewhere else. but IMO a piston is only as good as the person setting it up.

    bov help

because the velocity of air drops as you go bigger considering that the outlet on the CT-26 isn't that large which is only 2 inch. So 3inch would probably hurt more over 2.5 inch pipe. Although inturn you get more volume of air but lag can be increased to a certain margin. But since...
