I'd offer 15k and be willing to pay 16k. Just keep reminding him about how your going to have to trailer it, do a ton of work to the swap as well as replacing suspension busings and such considering the milage. If he comes back with 16-16.5k agree on the condition that he delivers it.
Exactly, plus this thing should actually be capable of pulling my landscape trailer unlike the toyotas. I wanted to pick up another mower in the spring, and knew the toyota wouldnt enjoy the extra weight.
LOL I was tempted to dump mine into the supra, but thought it would be a better live choice to buy something that would deliver a return on my investment.

Brand new BFG All Terrain T/A...
Decided to go shopping for a clutch for my K1500 plow truck last night. I wanted something quality that would hold up to the rigors of plowing and towing, but didnt want to break the bank.
Found a place called Rock Auto. I got a ACDelco clutch (domestic equivilent of Aisin) for 163.79+14.58...
Figure out which arm(s) are damaged and replace them, align it, problem solved. This is assuming none of the chasis mounts are tweaked. I'm not familiar with MK4s, if it has a bolt on rear subframe you may need to replace the whole thing if its tweaked.
Got a call from the insurance company today. They are pretty much done with the claim. I should be able to go in monday, sign over my title, and pick up my check for $4607! Winner winner chicken dinner!
