Maybe your distributor hold down bolt got loose somehow and it moved. Check to see if your distributor can move freely.

no it didnt, i double checked, yeah really weak, and when i put 5th gear the car sounds like the engine is being forced, like when u put 3rd gear going at 10mph

do a compression test. my car did the same thing and i blow the head gasket between 4 and 5 cylinder. i also had my crank pully bolt come loose and i thought it was rod knock cause it ran really bad and made alot of noise.

are you sure your VALVE timing is correct? Might have jumped a tooth. turn the crank to #1tdc compression and make sure the cam gear marks are strait up.

Ok, it's been over a month. Any updates? Did you find the problem? Did you do a compression test? Did you check to see if your cams are pointing straight up with crank at TDC? What all have you done?

Who had your dist. pulled and installed back several teeth off? Not a knock, not a BHG, thats a timing/spark issue either mech.,electrical, plugs,or TPS maybe.
