    Baker Run Sept 8

Hey Matt, the Suby might be up, not really up to me though. I heard that this run is pretty much dominated by Evo's (?) Not really a Supra's playground.:nono:

    Tell me sumn about rap...

^ I'm not sure who Mr. Thompson is? but I'll address all of it by saying you're all screwed up!:aigo: That is, if you guys say that there is any socially redeeming messages in the "rap" that I'm refering to, then you are sadly mistaken. I go back to what I stated earlier, most of it is about...

    Tell me sumn about rap...

^Sorry. It's not what one HAS to do, but what one chooses to do! You could tell me I don't know what I'm talking about, untill you're blue in the face, and I still say it's a choice. A very bad choice at that. If you patronize that genre of music, you are supporting the message, plain and...

    Tell me sumn about rap...

This is the attitude I was referring to! How you could possibly think that a 13 year old kid should be listening to gangster/thug rap, instead of the "pop rap", because it glorifies murder, and drug dealing?!!! Please do society a favor, and don't have any children!!! Proven fact that alot of...

    Tell me sumn about rap...

Good discussion. You guys all seem like good kids, that I have no doubt. I just don't see the attraction to the stuff I was railing against. tt you all later.

    Tell me sumn about rap...

Yes, my gen, had no idea. I used to go to sleep at night listening to "American Top 40", with Kasey Kasem. Alot of fond memories with music like the Spinners, Marvin Gaye, Hall and Oates, Curtiss Mayfield, Parliament and others. Back in the day (60's & 70's) you didn't have to shock, to entertain!

    Tell me sumn about rap...

Calm down Kyle!:aigo: I did not assume anything about you? I like you too! (Thanks!) Alot of what kids listen too, is just about peer pressure, just like everything else. I was kind of a "dictator", as a father. But, my son and I have a great relationship.

You would have enjoyed it. Go see him if you get a chance too again. Joe, your arguments are valid. I could have worded what I said about rap better. I would like to know though, are you one of those guys that plays the vulgar, profane styles, at ungodly decibel levels, no matter who is around?

One of the world's greatest guitarists lives where you Norcal boys are. Joe Satriani! Do any of you guys listen to him? Oh, probably not,:nono: your friends might think you're "Lame"!

    Tell me sumn about rap...

No, that is mainly what I listened too. Pink Floyd, Lynard Skynard, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, and so on and so forth. My son grew up in an all white middle class neihborhood anyways. Rap music would not have made any sense to him. I was in the Army when he was alot younger, and saw the...

    Tell me sumn about rap...

Death rock, right? That too was verbotten in my house. It's definately about more than the music though. It's about boundries, and rules. Like them or not, I was/am the parent, i.e; "The boss"!

    Tell me sumn about rap...

Joe, your tune will change, if, and when, you become a parent. And, if it doesn't? Well, then I would say that you'll be just like a majority of parents now days. You can read into that, whatever you like. I guess I'm just too "old fashioned"!

    Tell me sumn about rap...

Well put Dirgle. I just had to take a shot at the mainstream crap, and some of the unbelievable lyrics I hear coming out of kids stereo's these days. I could never have rode around (when I was young) with the vulgar music blasting for all to hear. Just too embarassing.

    Tell me sumn about rap...

It's called "responsible parenting". It wasn't just rap, but anything that caused a desensitizing of the garbage that the "gangsta" lifestyle promotes. Besides, he really had no desire to listen to it anyways. I guess he just has exceptionable taste!

Smart enough, to not waste my time listening to something, that takes ZERO talent to produce! Would rather be dubbed closed minded, thanks.
