Id like to see a compression check when cold first thing in morning after sitting.. and after a normal drive. also after it has sat over night.. id take a look down each cyl see if any wet.. im thinking injectors are washing out clys and thats aluminum ...

Myself i just use one of them pocket flat head screwdrivers.. one with magnet on one end.. put a dab of greass on the flat end.. it woulld hold keeper of a short time... long enough to slip in ... and if you drop .. you got magnet on other end...or you can just wrap a wire around the screw...

Reason the bottom ends usally went out after a top end job was.. People would run a motor for 150,000 . 200,000 miles... 50,000 was with bad head or heads.... they they think they got new motor and bam... hope he has a bore scope to vid tape the fishing line valve stem hook up... i wana...

no.... if you are real close to empty.. drop tank.. if not.. cut a hole if you want.. lot do... remmber higher boost... + run lean == short life

IF the valve is still in guide... get with Matco... snap on... go to sears or decent tool supplyer.. get one of ther teloscopic rare earth magnets... and pray... also if it is still in the guide.. rotate engine till piston is just touching it then back off a tad .. so it cant fall all the way...

just take a deep well socket and hammer and tap them out..
