Personally, I think the biggest proof is that it would take a cast of thousands to fake it, and remember the rule... One person can keep a secret. Two people can keep a secret so long as one of them is dead. Three people cannot keep a secret, even if ALL of them are dead.

Theory v. Practice: Wideband sensor location

PS: IJ is right on the money with the narrowband... nothing (so far) beats the speed a narrowband sensor has when you're running in it's range.

Theory v. Practice: Wideband sensor location

Household silicone outgasses some nasty crud that will trash oxygen sensors. The sensor safe stuff is supposed to be fine - I've used it around my sensors, and never had a problem. I'm running the AFX wideband, with the sensor mounted in the elbow. I've been running it as a daily driver, with...

Need some advice on buying a supra mk3 91

The X19? Wasn't that the little monster with the fuel tank on top of the trunk? Those were hot looking little pieces of art. Never ran to save your life, but really nice to look at.

Installed the Fluidamper over the weekend. Had it on the dyno last week, and blew off the flex pipe between the wastegate and the exhaust. We jerry rigged the existing pipe back into place, ordered a new flex section, and I'll have Tommy weld that in this week, then back on the dyno she goes...

    Blower/ Heater problem??

Sounds like the electrical VSV underneath it is frozen. It's supposed to switch between vacuum and atmospheric sources when told to by the climate control. You can test it pretty easily, just wire it to 12v and check if you can blow through it, then disconnect, and see if you can still blow...

    ffim info?

Get a custom one. The idea of matching runners between the 7M and JZ series engines has been brought up many times, and attempted a few. I've yet to see one that works. It's not as simple as it sounds, and welding cast aluminum is a PITA.

Anybody want to get together Friday night between Everett and Bellingham?

No chance... just picked up tickets to see Pacific Rim in the IMAX for Friday night. I've been waiting for this film for MONTHS.

    Blower/ Heater problem??

That valve is normally open unless you have the temp turned to full cold. Also, if you have the controls set to recirculate and the fan off, no hot air should come out of the vents. If you leave it set to outside air, even with the fan off, some air will flow, and because there is always hot...

Somewhere over 1k hp, depending on boost pressure. They push 340 lph, so two of them is very close to running triple wallys.

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Finished the work that started a couple months ago... new fuel system and twin plate clutch installed, back on the tires and running around the city.

She RUNS! And moves, too. Initial impressions on the clutch are nice... light pedal, not too noisy when the pedal is down, I can feather it from a dead stop to start the car without using the gas at all. Initial impressions on the Aeromotive stealth pumps... these things are QUIET. Like so...

New push type clutch slave mounted, driveshaft installed, engine mounts done, fuel filler neck reconnected at the top, hatch reassembled, fuel line mounted... Still to go: Bleed clutch, fuel tank heat shield, exhaust, battery, add fuel, fire it up, check for leaks...

    The Mistress

New clutch is in, transmission is back on, with only two bolts, and they are NOT the hard ones, of course, but they aren't the easiest ones, either. Left to do... - bellhousing bolts - starter - mount and bleed the new push conversion clutch slave - driveshaft - engine mounts - fuel filler neck...

Need some advice on buying a supra mk3 91

Depends on the car, and how much maintenance has been done to it. I've had no problems driving mine on 3000 mile trips, however, I'm at one end of the scale. One EXTREME end.
