As Poatree said, it could be the CPS (the device which electronically simulates a distributor). Try wiggling the CPS wires when you have the problem and see if that helps. Also check your engine error codes and let us know what you find.
It almost sounds like starter contacts. If the...
There are actually quite a few things you can do. You will definitely get more power per dollar with a turbo, but you can still have fun with an N/A. http://www.ma70.com/bishop/namod.html
Sounds like you just blew a coolant hose. BHG doesn't normally come out behind the thermostat housing, but there are a couple coolant hoses that crack over time.
Replacing a BHG is very easy once you've done it, even the first time it's not that bad. On the 7mgte the hardest part is...
With the car warmed up and running, take the oil filler cap off. If you notice a very distinct puffing of oil vapor coming out then it's possible your ring's are having issues. It's rather unlikely with a 7mge but it's possible.
It can be hardwired if you're that desperate. 86.5-88 are likely to already have the harness but it's not definite that you will have the harness. My 86.5 did not have the Super Monitor harness. However once you start modifying the car the MPG and range will start to become inaccurate since...
Thanks guys :)
Forgot to mention that is with the jasma class cat-back on, which is very tame and quiet sounding most of the time. The really loud noise is of course the wastegate opening. However in the winter I run a different cat-back and it's a good bit louder at all times, sounds much...
I've heard of people having problems with the Tial when they run low boost. No experience with that particular BOV myself, I prefer the HKS SSQV.
There's no reason you should pick a different BOV based on motor, it should be based more on what boost you're running. Yes certain cars AFM's...
I've found the measurement that Tein recommends is pretty close. Of course the corner scales would be better, but for your average joe, the specs Tein recommends works pretty well.
I'd say almost 40k miles. I ran 20psi everyday for the first couple years, now lately with the DDP and VPC I find that 16psi is as fast and it's easier on the HG :) I'll pull it up to 21 if I need the power, but that's not very often anymore.
As I said before "It's going to depend on whether your AFM is your current bottleneck at your mod level." Lets say you've got a SP61GT and all the supporting mods except the stock AFM. You think at 25psi the stock AFM won't be a restriction?
Checking for engine error codes is the first step http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/library/TSRM/fi/FI_023.html
Do you smell rotten eggs or sulfur anytime while driving? When was the last tuneup done (plugs, wires, cap, rotor)?
I found my x-overs would fit inside the door in the cavity created by the arm rest. It was a tight fit but no problems after 3 years. Of course that will depend on what size your crossover is.
