If it's only grabbing early in certain conditions you not only need to adjust the freeplay but bleed the hydraulic system of any air. Also check for leaks in the system just in case.

2 Are you trying to change values based on throttle or pressure?

The DDP is only loud while boosting, while normal driving it's no louder then a regular aftermarket dp. It is pretty loud under boost, but I got used to it quick. I also noticed it sounds better the more boost you run. At stock boost it sounds pretty crappy.
