I just did this, and this method works. It sounds dumb as hell, but it works. Take newspaper and tear it into 3 inch strips about 1/2" wide Find a bolt that just barely fits the hole in the bearing. My instructions were to wet the paper, I used PB Blaster. Now stuff the paper into the hole until...
Post reply...backspace.......[did I click post yet].....Post reply.........Backs......uh you get the picture.
It's not the computer, it's short term memory loss!:evil2:
I need someone to photoshop me humping this car through the rear quarter glass or something. That would be reality if ever I came into contact with this car.
We don't need no stinking wheelgap!
But I have visions of cutting a trunk board, and having your carpet girl do me a custom carpet, for a clean looking install. I do like the positioning he has on that battery. And hey, just think of the look on someones face as you have to get jumped off in a crowded parking lot.
Ken, I would love to leave it in the back. I don't know enough about how it was done, to make an educated guess yet what I will do. Once I figure it all out, I will make a decision. I have no idea how the power gets to the fuse box, and powers the inside of the car.
I have been away from this...
I think it looks pretty good. I'm not a fan of the hole in the kit at the door, but other than that, the car looks good.
What are those wheels in the first pic? Do you have all 4, and are they for sale now?
Sorry Mario, but you are wrong on 3 different points here.
1. It's not photoshopped
2. He'll never get what that is worth unless he had special insurance on it.
3. That bitch is probably driving today.
Ya, why not get a 2JZ..............it'll even make your balls grow bigger at no extra charge.
There's plenty of guys who blame the 7M for their 7M failure, and steer you to the JZ motors, but no matter what you do, you have to pay to play. Why buy an expensive motor when you already have one...
Here's what I would do...................A Compression Test! If that is good, I'd leave the motor alone, and just do the clutch. Then you will have money to do some mods, and possibly some left over for a good tune. If it is not healthy, I'd pull them together, and then decide which motor you...
I guess I'll do a small update, instead of continuing the current fun.
I made what I call a major advancement today. I have been using most of my mechanicing time trying to get the driver's seat out of the old car, because I sold it over a month ago. I felt guilty if I worked on mine, while I...
Tanya, what is the best HP you have seen out of a N/A 5M? From my limited experience around a dyno, you are pushing up close to the best I have seen. Is that why the 7M swap is so popular? I loved my MKII in stock form, way back when.
Welcome! There is a pretty decent sized group of members here in the "Roll Tide" state. If you look in the Southeast section, there is a thread just for us.
We will need pictures of said car
Don't fall victim to the "get a JDM turbo motor, and slap it in" method. You will be doing it over soon, if you do that. Save the mod money, and sell your N/A to buy a decent turbo car. That advise comes from hundreds of people here that have already pioneered that mistake. Don't try to prove it...
