Thanks for heading that up! Understandably these boxes just have a base tune. No other way around it and I'd never expect it to run perfect out of the box. I'm definitely having mine professionally tuned, I'm just trying to figure out this ignition miss before paying someone big bucks to...
Sounds like people have had this issue for a while (even with the v1):

I have a DH61 igniter coming in a few days and I'm going to see if it helps.
Yes, I'm still using the stock igniter. I would like the AEM to directly control a set of COP coils, but thought I'd try to get it working on the stock setup first. Who at Toyota thought a multiplexed ignition system is a good thing?!
oldsking, I haven't got into much boost at all yet but my...
I got my AEM V2 up and running pretty well and am starting to do some light road tuning. It idles, run and drives pretty well but medium load (~ -6 psig to 0 psig) at low rpms (1500-3000) it stumbles and actually kicks back just a little bit. Higher RPMs are a lot better but it also feels like...
It's running and driving pretty well under part throttle. I have yet to get into boost yet though. The DM-provided map worked well with the exception of the initial timing sync, but that may need adjusted for every car anyway.
I'm stumped why your car would start on the stock ecu without the afm connected. It should only fire for a second and die in a situation like that. However, yes...have someone crank the car with the injectors disabled (or unplugged) and take a look where TDC is with the timing light. Click the...
OK I got it. Turns out I just needed to disable the injectors, and use the ignition timing wizard while cranking to help adjust the ignition sync value. It was way too far retarded so I had to advance it up a bit and it fired up.
I just installed the AEM V2 from driftmotion and I'm having some trouble getting it started. The car ran on the stock ECU+maft pro the same day just before installing the AEM. Relevant mods are:
- GM 3-bar MAP sensor
- GM IAT sensor
- IS300 coils on the stock igniter
- RC 660cc...
I'd double check everything yourself even if it did have arrows on it. Stock, the oil flows from the pump through the outer perforations in the filter, and out the threaded center of the filter to the main rail in the block. Visually check your block adapter (or run water through it to be 100%...
Yep it's working out well! Some of the gasket maker on the v-band surfaces of the turbo outlet blew out and was causing an exhaust leak though (wideband was reading crazy lean in boost). I think that may have been the noise through the firewall. I just refreshed it and we'll see how it works...
Nothing real special yet, but here is some part throttle boosting. I need to get it tuned, but that will probably happen in the spring.

Alright, it's been a while since I installed my Maft Pro. I had forgotten I didn't even have the power connected to +B anymore (to help with the TPS code). I'm switching it back for now and it seems to have worked. I'll test it for real with the engine warmed up but I'm confident this was it...
OK, I'm sure I found the issue. This should have been more obvious to me! While cranking, the Maft Pro loses power. When cold it revs high enough so it's able to boot in that split second and recover. When warm it dies before it's able to boot again. 3p, thanks for the suggestion that is exactly...
