once you get it open, unbolt the "pulling arm" and attach some velcro to both sides while you source a new cable. That way it'll remain shut, but you'll be able to open it, and remove the velcro once you fix it..

technically, a BOV should be as close to the throttle body as possible, but I wanted the stealth factor. If you pop my hood, you can't see it, and can only see it if you come in at an angle from the passenger side to the front, which no cop will do.
